In case you haven’t heard, the law of attraction is a belief that positivity brings about positive results and negativity brings about negative results in a person’s life. This is based on the principle that thoughts are energy: positivity attracts success, while negativity attracts failure in all areas of life: relationships, finances, health, etc.
The idea is that you become a co-creator with your higher power in manifesting your deepest desires. When used properly, the law of attraction helps you manifest your desires faster than you would if you did not try to use it.
Below, we’ll explore more about the law of attraction and offer you 7 steps that you can use to implement the law of attraction in your life.
Central Principles of the Law of Attraction
There are three central principles that make up the law of attraction:
- Like attracts like: based on the belief that similar things are attracted to one another, which indicates that negative thoughts attract bad experiences, while positive thoughts attract pleasant experiences.
- Nature abhors a vacuum: based on the belief that it is impossible to have an empty space in your mind or life- something will always occupy it. By removing negative things from your mind/life, you make more room for positive.
The present is perfect: based on the belief that while the present may seem flawed, it’s important to focus your energy on making the present better rather than focusing on what you perceive to be flaws
Seven Steps for Using the Law of Attraction
Below, we’re going to explore seven steps for using the law of attraction in your life:
Gratitude can significantly change your life- plus it works with the law of attraction to bring you more of what you are grateful for. If you’re feeling discouraged and let down, the law of attraction adds fuel to the fire, giving you more of what makes you feel negative.
Therefore, if you want to manifest good things in your life, focus on the things you feel grateful for- no matter how simple.
While it may seem hypocritical to speak of your desires as if you already have them, the truth is, everything is already in existence. The moment you have the thought, it has become your reality. The more you speak of it, the stronger it will become and the quicker it will be part of your life.
Think about a child that is excited about what he/she wants- notice how they express their excitement? They look up pictures and talk about what they will do when they get what they want. They don’t think about when/how it will happen, they just know they are excited about it.
When you talk about your desires, speak with joy about it because words/thoughts feed that creation and it will come about faster.
Surround Yourself with Your Desires
You’re probably wondering how to surround yourself with your desires when you don’t have them. However, though it may not be yours, you can borrow, visit, and place yourself in the environment and around the people who are linked to your desires.
The law of attraction depends on your being in the energy of your desires. You must create the state that you’re trying to attract by being among what you want until it becomes yours. You will get what you focus on- whether you are observing or speaking of it.
While it may seem counterproductive, it’s important to let go of your desires. Know your desires, but don’t hold on from a place of fear/doubt. The more you hold on to needing/wanting, the more disastrous manifestation will be- you will feel more needy.
You should be feeling full and confident and understand the power of your intention without feeling stressed or needy. Know that the law of attraction will work for you and what you create will manifest and then let go and transition into the state of receiving.
Letting go is a paradox because manifestation requires that you focus on your desire- but you have to find the balance between focusing without being clingy.
Learn to Receive
Ultimately, you need to learn to receive, which is something most people can’t do. Many people say they desire things but don’t know how to receive them. They doubt themselves and believe they don’t deserve their desires. These feelings of doubt and unworthiness block manifestation and only destroy your desires.
The law of attraction takes you into your inner self and allows you to see where the disconnect is between you as a co-creator with your higher power and the universe. Allow yourself to feel worthy and learn to receive your desires.
Allow Yourself to Become Worthy
Recognize that you have the ability to manifest anything you want because you are a god/goddess, and your desire is a speck in the grand scheme of things. You deserve to manifest your desires because you will then be able to have a positive impact on those around you. When you use the law of attraction, you put yourself in the flow and in a better position to add value to the world around you. The quicker you become worthy of your desires, the quicker they will come.
Feelings of unworthiness are one of the biggest roadblocks to manifestation. However, it’s important to understand that your higher power wants you to have your desires and there’s more than enough to go around. Allow yourself to become worthy!
Give What You Desire
You may not have what you want, but you do have something that someone else may not have that they find valuable. When you give, you’ll be amazed at how quickly the law of attraction will manifest abundance for you.
There’s a natural flow within the universe- in order to manifest your desires, you must also be willing to give, as long as you don’t give more than you have. You should never deplete yourself but give what makes you feel happy. Give out of love but conserve your energies at the same time. When you give, the law of attraction will bring you more and you’ll quickly manifest more than you could imagine.
The law of attraction puts you in the position of co-creator with your higher power to manifest your deepest desires. However, you can’t just expect it to happen on its own- you have to put forth the effort too. Use these seven steps to make the law of attraction work in your life.
