How can you become a model of good health? Follow the habits of people that make a living being healthy. It all starts in the morning.

You've most likely heard people say about someone who is in a bad mood or not feeling well say "Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed?" Who knew there was a right or wrong side? If there is, then it would be easy to improve your physical and mental health. Just always get up on the right side! Not the left side?

All kidding aside, what we do first in the morning can shape our entire day and health. Think about it; this is the first day of the rest of your life. Healthy morning routines are the key to having a healthy and happy day and a good life.

What is a good morning routine, according to the health gurus? Almost without exception, they do five things to think better, focus, handle stress, improve relationships, and obtain maximum health.

5 top ways health experts take care of themselves every morning:

1. They get up early for themselves

Early to bed early to rise - The benefits of getting up early in the morning have been espoused since Ben Franklin saw it as the key to being healthy, wealthy, and wise.

The importance of getting enough sleep is undisputed. Don't stay up late so you can rise early in the morning. Doing so gives you time to take care of yourself and be physically and mentally ready to care for your family, clients, or others, depending on you. In this hectic life, it may be the only time to focus on you.

2. They plan their day the night before

Write down your daily goals - Writing an action list of goals simplifies the morning. Each evening, take a pen and paper and write down your top three to five goals.

Don't think about the day before; just think about what you need to do most, and write them down. As soon as you wake up, you will have a clear mind and be better able to accomplish your goals. When you're unsure what direction to take as soon as the alarm goes off, you may feel confused and stressed. And stress is negative on health.

3. They eat a healthy breakfast

Benefits of a healthy breakfast – Many studies have related breakfast to better health, improved memory and focus, and a decreased risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.

A healthy breakfast ideally includes protein, fiber, and healthy fats. For example, whole-grain toast, Greek yogurt, fruit, and eggs make a nutritious breakfast. Beginning the day with breakfast foods high in essential nutrients such as folate, calcium, iron, and B vitamins provides you with the energy you need to complete your daily goals.

4. They exercise early in the morning

Importance of exercise for health – Eating a good breakfast and having a healthy diet is just half the way to obtain maximum health and all its benefits.

You have to exercise! Exercise increases circulation and strengthens the heart. The increased blood flow boosts oxygen levels. Regular exercise can help you avoid cardiac problems, including excessive cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and heart attacks. Exercise can also aid with weight loss and reduce your blood pressure and lipid levels. Before your workout, eat a good breakfast.

5. Their day begins mindfully and gratefully

The sound of grinding coffee beans and the aroma of brewing coffee sets the mood. The first hour of the day can shape the rest of it. Meditation may help you cleanse your thoughts and mentally prepare for the day. Gratitude at the end of the meditation helps keep things in perspective.

Just do it!

Anyone who does these five things in the morning will certainly be healthier and happier. Who can argue that taking time for yourself, making plans, eating a healthy breakfast, exercising, and being grateful won’t benefit you? Get with the program and be the best person you can be, not just for you, but to all those who depend on you.
