3 Principles to Improve Your Life

Three laws that can change you into a better person

1. Overcome internal resistance

Every single day, we are dealing with this internal resistance. To most people, it is hard to get up from bed. But as soon as you arise, take yourself to the shower or make a healthy breakfast, you are overpowering the resistance to move your life forward. You have to walk away from your comfort zone to experience something different. Somehow, you will feel discomfort, but you need to link it with empowerment. On the other side, if you fail to get up early in the morning and tread like a zombie to the bathroom, you will feel paralyzed if you stay in that condition. The more you overcome resistance, the more power you absorb. The more empowerment you have, the better the things you can do. Higher resistance leads to greater capacity. In physics, with current, constant power is directly proportional to resistance (P = I2 R). The same principle is applied to life daily.

2. Keep doing the things that saved you from a bad situation

When you feel stuck in a rut for a long time, you sleep less, eat more unhealthy food, and do not go out for weeks or months, and you realize that you are tired of doing all these things. You want to do something to improve yourself. You start changing your lifestyle, go to the gym more often, socialize, and get enough sleep. Doing this makes you feel good all the time. When you finally reach the point that you no longer have that negative type of thinking, you suddenly stop doing the things that made you better. So, you get back to what you were before, sleepless, unhealthy, unmotivated. But, what if you did not stop all the efforts to get yourself out of the rut? Within this cruel world, there is no shortcut to success. For example, you exerted all your effort within just one day in the gym to get that beautiful body. You cannot do it that way. Success can be achieved by doing the little things every time, for long periods, even if you don’t feel like doing it. From that, you are already converting them into habits. Habits are those things you want to do and easy-to-do things. Writing an article for the first time is difficult. But, when transforming writing into a habit, you will feel good doing it. You can lock yourself with one habit for 30 days or more, then add another habit.

3. Record your thoughts

Bad days will come in your life, and you feel terrible about that turbulence. Sometimes, good things happen too, and it seems like sadness is absent. The cycle will happen over and over again. If you take the time to write or record these events, you will find patterns from them. Through writing, it is easier to avoid mistakes. You can use that information to your benefit. Prevent the same mistake and learn from it.

"Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning result."

Earth revolves around the sun 365 and ¼ days each year. We are not getting any younger. Sometimes, among individuals, there is an imbalance between the physiological age and the mental age. Sometimes, older is not consistent with their mental age. Others matured when young due to experiences and unexpected events. Mature people are reliable. They can stand on their foot without assistance from other individuals. How are they doing it? We all have the same 24 hours every day. The difference is how we spend every minute each day. It is significant to start doing something for self-improvement, even if it takes 5 minutes. Read books for 5 to10 minutes daily. Meditate for at least 10 minutes in the afternoon. Build a routine of all the things that will help you become a better version of yourself.

It is your choice which path you will take. Go for the hard option first to live an easy life. Work hard now so that you can relax later. Or you can take easy paths that lead to a hard life. Ease for now and suffer later. Your decision today will have an impact on your future.
