However, following your parents' advice to eat well, exercise often, get plenty of sleep, and avoid bad behaviors is the best approach to increase your chances of living a long and active life.

According to a 2018 study from Harvard University's T.H. Chan School of Public Health discovered specific healthy habits can extend one's life by a decade or more. Researchers looked and examined data from 78,000 women over the course of 34 years and over 44,000 men over the course of 27 years for this study.

Over the course of the nearly 30-year study period, women and men who maintained the healthiest lives were 82 percent less likely to die from cardiovascular disease and 65 percent less likely to die from cancer than those who did not.

Though you shouldn't drink many cups of coffee every day because according to a 2018 study published in the journal Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, coffee can reduce your risk of diabetes, liver damage, cancer, and depression when drank in moderation.
