Side effects of Mulberry


1. Risk of Cancer:

One of the most dangerous side effects of mulberry is that it can cause skin cancer. There is a compound found in mulberry called Iontin, which helps to lighten and improve the skin. Adrutin is a hydroquinone that inhibits the release of melanin containing the tyrosinase enzyme. According to research, hydroquinone has carcinogenic side effects. Therefore it can cause skin cancer.

2 . Avoid if you have a kidney problems

Mulberry is rich in excessive potassium which can cause complications in patients suffering from kidney diseases and gall bladder pain. Although potassium has many health benefits. It is important that patients with kidney disorders should avoid taking excess potassium and that is why mulberry should be avoided. Avoid taking mulberry tea even if you have kidney stones or any other disorder.

3. Lower blood sugar

Mulberry is known to lower blood sugar and can cause hypoglycemia. In this condition, headache, hunger, blurred vision, dizziness, excessive sweating, confusion, tremors etc. may occur. Thus attention should be paid to eating a limited amount of mulberry and that too with caution.

4. Inhibit Carbohydrate absorption
