Little Girls and Big Girls will Love Maleficent Light Up Horns

My daughter loves headbands, hats, scarves, tiaras, and anything else she can put on her head. Every trip to Disney, or the Disney store, results in a new accessory for her wardrobe. After her and I saw Disney's Maleficent in theaters earlier this month, I knew it was just a matter of time before she requested Maleficent horns and I was right.

Disney's Hats and Headbands are Very Well Made

As I expected, the Maleficent horns are very well made. Like many other character hats that my daughter owns, the horns are actually a headband and made of thick plastic. The best part about these horns is the fact that they light up. The lights start from the base and travel up the horn in a pattern.

Plastic not Plush

In the Disney movie Maleficent, the evil fairy's horns are truly impressive. When she is young, the horns are shiny and glitter in the sun. As she grows older and more vengeful, she covers her beautiful horns for a wicked look. Many of the other Maleficent horns on the market are made of black plush. I'm not a big fan of the plush horns because they look fake and I imagine they are pretty heavy too. With the plastic horns, weight is not an issue, but my daughter will have to be careful not to break them. The light-up Maleficent horns in this lens remind me of the young, lovable Maleficent and not the evil fairy she grew up to be.

If your daughter loves this Disney villain as much as mind, she will have hours of fun wearing her Maleficent horn headband. Keep scrolling for more information about Maleficent gift ideas, Halloween costumes, and more.

Maleficent Horns are the New Mickey Mouse Ears

I've been to Disney many times with the latest being October 2015. When I was packing for the trip, I grabbed mine and my daughter's Minnie Mouse ears for the trip. While we were there, I was surprised to see that many little girls and their moms had traded their Minnie ears for Maleficent horns.

In fact, everywhere we went, there was little ones walking around with their horns shining brightly. With this in mind, it's safe to say that the Maleficent horns are quickly replacing Minnie Mouse ears. If you are planning a trip to Disney, it's a good idea to buy the horns before you go. When you buy them ahead of time, you can save tons of money. In the park ears or horns will run anywhere from $15 to $25. But when you buy them ahead of time, you can get them for much less.
