1. Victor Vran

The Victor Vran series is a hugely interesting ARPG series that has captured many fans over the years. Definitely, one that we recommend you take look at, as Victor Vran offers a compelling story (voiced by Doug Cockle, or Geralt) and a really interesting gameplay style. You can even jump which is quite rare for games of this style. Certainly one of the best games like Grim Dawn for those on a budget.

2. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

While controversial to some, we rate Wolcen as one of the best games like Grim Dawn. It’s tremendously fun, with a great combat system that has a real punch to it. It comes with no class restrictions, and you can build up your character from more or less any path that you choose. Great for those who want to enjoy a more in-depth experience that is paired-up with a fantastic, detailed combat system.

3. Van Helsing

If you want to enjoy games like Grim Dawn then you should try out the Van Helsing series. We recommend you play the all-in-one package, though, as it brings together all three releases into a far more satisfying experience. Everything flows a bit better as you go from game to game, and the experience, in general, is just more fun. If you have any interest in the Van Helsing stories, then you should find this to be lots of fun.

4. Torchlight II

While the first Torchlight is very much a love letter to Diablo, Torchlight II does everything a bit better. We recommend you try it out if you are looking for some fun, as Torchlight II does offer a lot of opportunities to flex your muscles. A very classic ARPG experience, it is one of our most enjoyable games like Grim Dawn because it never tries to get too ahead of itself. A classic, enjoyable experience worth seeing.

5. Titan Quest

Set in the rich world of Greek mythology, Titan Quest is one of the most satisfying games like Grim Dawn. It is a highly enjoyable title with a rich story, great worlds to go through, and more than enough DLC and add-ons to keep you coming back. The game can be a bit dated graphically now, but the Anniversary Edition does a good job of making sure it still feels very easy to play and enjoy.

6. Diablo II Resurrected

Set to arrive next week, the Diablo II Resurrected beta was enough proof that the game that inspired Grim Dawn still has class. Even so long after its release, Diablo II is set to return to life and give us the chance to scrap with the Lord of Terror once again. The vintage ARPG that made it possible for all of the others to come to life, Diablo II is the ideal next game on your list for Grim Dawn fans.

7. Warhammer: Chaosbane

If you enjoy classic Warhammer then you might enjoy this title. It can be a touch repetitive at times, but being able to slice through the armies of chaos with a Dwarven Slayer is always good fun. It’s a fun enough title, and one that we recommend anyone with an interest in both games like Grim Dawn and Warhammer tries out. Not without its flaws, but definitely a game worthy of playing through from start to finish

8. Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor Martyr

If you prefer Warhammer 40K to fantasy, then this is a good game to try out. Play as an Imperial Inquisitor and step foot on the Martyr and find out what has gone wrong with this ship that vanished for so many years. While it’s story is a little by the numbers, the fan service for Warhammer 40K fans should make this more than enjoyable enough to play through – even if you only do so once.

9. Emberheart

If you want another classic game in the Grim Dawn mould, then be sure to try out Emberheart. It has a very strong classic Diablo feel, combining together much of what makes these ARPG games so fun. It’s quite a basic game in the way it works, but there is more than enough in Emberheart to make sure that those looking for games like Grim Dawn can have a fun enough time fighting through this enjoyable indie title.

10. Lost Ark

Though not yet released to a western audience, Lost Ark is being picked up by Amazon and the by-now legendary title is set to get a lot of people interested. This Korean-made ARPG has an intriguing plot, a truly outstanding combat system, and no shortage of skills to pick from and classes to try out. Probably one of the most hyped-up ARPGs of all time, and could be just what you are in need of if you want to play a high-budget ARPG release that isn’t from Blizzard.

Where will you Slay first?

With so many good games like Grim Dawn, you simply need to try out a few from the above list to get what you are looking for. While some change the theme or the mechanics, each of the above titles offer all of the enjoyment that one would expect from a title like Grim Dawn.
