Using Hero Emblems
In OAC (Order and Chaos Online) a hero emblem is a type of currency that can be used for many useful things in game. There are lots of ways to get free hero emblems. You want as many of these as possible because they are used for many different parts of the game.
When they first came out, they had a limited number of uses, but as the game is developed they are used for more and more things. It's probably best to spend them on bag and bank upgrades before you begin using them in other ways.
Hero Emblems can be used in the following ways:
- On the Black Market
- To open bag and bank space (after maxed with gold)
- Donated to your guild to help level the guild up
- To resurrect without using runes
- For transforming the appearance of gear into vanity
- To buy mats
There are so many ways to use them, it can be difficult to choose what to use them for. I am seeing a lot of players using them for resurrecting, without realizing that they have other, more important purposes.
I know Order and Chaos has a bazillion types of currency, but as you get used to them they all make perfect sense. Hero emblems are confusing at first. When you click on one it will vanish from your bag. Some players think they may have wasted, or lost them. After you click on them, and they vanish from your bag, they will be added under the hero emblem currency.
Using Hero Emblems on the Black Market
Where Do You Get Hero Emblems?
There are lots of ways to get hero emblems, even so I do not recommend someone use them for coming back to life, unless it is to get a piece of gear or a good drop from a boss. AGL is one of the most popular places to farm hero emblems, but it must be done on legendary and takes exhaustion.
Farming hero emblems takes time initially, but once all of your bag space is open, you will find you have more to play with. You can res in the dungeons, or play with vanity at that point. If you choose to spend them on the Black Market, be ready to save up a number in the thousands.
Unlike souls, there is no fast way to farm them without using exhaustion. Remember, in PCN you can farm souls with no exhaustion, however outside of RTN, there is no way to do that with hero emblems.
You can get hero emblems in the following ways:
- Hourly chest
- From the lottery
- AGL, MZL and other higher dungeon bosses
- PvP chest (you get when you cap)
- Event rewards
- League rewards
- Guild weekly tournament chest
- From the Nick Shop
- As rewards for the Royal level quest
- From 3 daily quests in Flare Island
- As daily login rewards
How To Use Hero Emblems
When you first get hero emblems a hero emblem will be placed in your bag. Honestly, I like to just leave them in my bag so I don't accidentally use them to res in a dungeon.
Your currency totals are in your character's attributes statistics page. Hero emblems will not appear in your total until you open your bag and click on the hero emblem. It will disappear from your bag and be added to your total. At this point you can use them as needed.
It is embarrassing to tell you how many times I have accidentally resurrected and wasted my hero emblems. That is why I just leave them in my bag until I need them. Once they are listed in your attributes they will be subtracted from the total when you use them.
Hero Emblems come in the following forms:
- single = 1 hero emblem
- bags = 3 hero emblems
- small chest = 10 hero emblems
When you get single hero emblems, I suggest you use them as often as possible to convert them to currency. If you wait until you have 50 or 99 or more, then when you need them you will have to press them once for every one you have, and that might take you awhile when your in a hurry to get something done.
Best Way To Use Hero Emblems
The best way to use hero emblems depends how you play the game. The great thing about Order and Chaos Online is that there are many ways to build your character. I opened all my storage spaces up, and now I love to use them for vanity gear.
A lot of people say the best way to use hero emblems are on the Black Market. I took a poll which showed that 50% of players thought they were best spend on the Black Market. I do not disagree with this train of thought. However, I do have a little bit of a different opinion.
The first way I always use hero emblems on a new character is to open my bag and bank all the way. I love this game, but I am always wanting more bag space.
My second favorite way to use hero emblems is to use them to transform my gear. Yes, I know, it is purely vanity, but there's something to be said about taking care about how you look. There is nothing more fun than to transform your PvP gear in to low level gear, or in to something silly.
Sometimes, other players think they are about to get an automatic win and relax. Since they don't expect much a fight, you can smack em around a bit before they realize what happened.
I also do not like the way some of the PvE gear looks. I mean, how dare I be seen in public in the EXACT same outfit as everyone else! The look of gear is one part of the game that players hope to see improved.
There is just something cool about looking unique. Of course, if you want to be stronger, and don't care how you look, you probably want to save them for the Black Market. On the other hand, if you are a dedicated guild member, then plan to set a few aside each day to donate back to the guild.

Hey JN, I've seen your blog. It's good stuff. As long as it's just the picture that's just fine. Nice to meet you.

Hi, I'm another guide-creator from Android, OM, (toon name jng9).
I realized I accidentally used one of your pictures for Sanctuary in my blog, and I apologize for that. I have credited you appropriately though, and if you would prefer for me to take the picture down, that would be fine as well.
You can have a look here if you like :)

Both AF servers are very busy. There are three traps, I haven't looked at them in awhile. I keep them in my bank so I'm not tempted to waste them.

Thanks a lot for these helpful details ! I have 3 or 4 50% capture trap already (isn't it 40% btw?) so there will be no problem to catch it ! I've been camping a lot already with no success... I play on iOS AF server and yes it spawns a lot there !

It is still week spawns as far as I can tell. It takes A lot of spwans to get the ghosts to spawn. On larger servers they pop a lot more. On smaller servers people have to really work at it. On Android swamp of wyrms everyone is really good at working towrds those spawns. Of course, if you don't have traps, its not likely you will get it. Did you know that you can get a 50% capture trap with 200 lucky crosses? I have 175 now. I won a 30% capture trap in a big stocking I got as a daily reward quest, have two 50% from achivments, and this will make my 3rd. You can buy them on the nick shop. Plus I saw an 100% on the black market, so I am considering putting in some bids as the different traps come up.

Just discovered your website, it is very helpful :) ! I've been playing O&C since 2011 but had some issues and had to stop in 2014. I'm back now and there is a lot of new things ! Do you know if there is still week spawn for epic mounts (the new ghost one) or is it random now ? Thanks !

I see. I haven't played IOS since my 4s broke. I'll dig around, see if I can find any info about this.

Thanks for the guild info :). On iOS creating guilds don't seem to be working, I've tried thousands of names haha

What do you mean guild creation function? On android I just made a guild last night. The guild level begins giving guild spells, buffs really, at level 3. The buffs are temporary, so the guild master needs to use the buff when it benefits the most players. The guild keeps the buffs, but they can only be used every so often. All members get the guild spell for however long that spell lasts.

Hello! A very good read as I have recently realized how many fire emblems I've wasted, hehe. And speaking about guilds, I was wondering about guild lvl mechanics and what specific benefits it brings to its members? And also, when do you think the guild creation function will be fixed? Thank you :)
