For those who do not know it, the Tubbz line represents the classic rubber duck but in a completely different form, in this case our duck throws himself headlong into the world of Cosplay.
In this way the duck acquires the main traits of the characters or the brand it plays and can be seen both as a collector's item as well as a nice gift for a friend who we know is interested in a specific television series or video game.
The brands and characters that are played by our little duck are extremely famous globally and can arouse a beautiful moment of nostalgia as they refer to many IPs that it is literally impossible not to know.
Many of them are references to very famous icons of the 80s and 90s but also much more recent representations are not disdained, such as the characters of the Stranger Things series.
Although this product relies heavily on fans of movies, TV series and video games, it will not be difficult even for ordinary people to find a duck that brings back a memory of the past.
For example, we can see our little duck taking the place of Rocky Balboa as cosplayer of Silvester Stallone, of Marty McFly and Doc Brown of Back to the Future, of Michael Knight of Knight Rider and many others.
Metal Gear Solid
One of the most beautiful interpretations of our little duck is absolutely that of Solid Snake of the famous IP made by Konami and directed by the legendary Hideo Kojima: Metal Gear Solid.
As a fan of the series I can only remark how charismatic the figure of Solid Snake is. The model, inspired by the events of Shadow Moses, also features the bandana, which in the game provided infinite ammo, for a touch of class.
Solid Snake is not the only one in the series to be immortalized, in fact we also have access to Revolver Ocelot in his iconic Spetsnaz costume, to Gray Fox and to the Genome Soldier with the exclamation point, an iconic reference to the series.
The only real flaw, in my opinion, is that of not having the corresponding Raiden duck for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or that of Naked Snake with the face camouflage for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater or other references to characters like Psycho Mantis or the sniper The End but I'm sure the franchise is very much loved by fans and therefore could be expanded in the future with other notable figures.
Wouldn't it be possible to have a duck version of some Metal Gear if you fantasize a little bit?
The Iron Duck Tournament!
For fighting video games we are spoiled for choice with franchises like Street Figher and the TEKKEN series.
Although the Street Figher models are excellent and feature some very good representations such as Guile's or Chun Li's or Ken's duck, my favorite is Heihachi Mishima's.
Tekken was one of the first arcade games I played when I was a child and therefore the bond is unbreakable.
Heihachi is not the only character represented in the famous fighting game, in fact his son Kazuya is also present.
The difference between the two, however, is remarkable in that Kazuya's model, although excellent, I think it fails to highlight the character like that of Heihachi, characterized by many elements such as the elements of the costume or the extremely recognizable hair.
Also in this case I would see well the inclusion of other characters such as, for example, I would also see Paul Phoenix well (perhaps for a head-to-head clash with Guile in terms of hair) or King / Armor King or even the couple of Williams sisters, Nina and Anna.
We also want them to remain in the Mishima family, the inclusion of Jin Kazama would really be evaluated as easily recognizable and at the same time iconic, as well as the introduction of the Demon variants of Kazuya or Jin.
Skyrim is much more than an RPG, as it has become a source of many memes (like its intro with the famous awakening in the wagon) and become an icon loved by fans with the many mods for the title, imported on all major consoles. of the recent videogame scenario.
In this case we are faced with 5 different ducks representing different key characters of the game such as Dovahkiin, Alduin, Jarl Balgruuf the Greater and even Ulfric Stormcloak.
All the models are particularly detailed and are extremely evocative but my favorite is the Dovahkiin Ebony Edition as it is incredibly imposing, much more than the normal Dovahkiin.
Staying on the RPG theme, I suggest you also take a look at the TUBBZ dedicated to another prestigious IP: Fallout.
In this case there are the excellent models of the T-51 and the Vault Duck ... er ... Boy.
Leon “Squack” Kennedy
Resident Evil is by far one of my favorite franchises and these ducks truly do justice to the characters in the hugely popular Capcom series created by Shinji Mikami.
As you can see, the various IPs of Capcom have been taken extremely into consideration with many ducks depicting the best characters of the various series, but I wish there were many more as for example I would like to see some with for example Dino Crisis or the Monster Hunter series not to mention the Devil May Cry or Mega Man series.
Going back to the Residen Evil series, I think every duck takes the best traits of each character such as the Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 1 costume before becoming Resident Evil 5's bouldering punching machine.
Sister Claire Redfield's design was also beautifully crafted but the best in my opinion are those of Jill and Leon.
Duck Jill shows up in the iconic Resident Evil 3 dress while our Leon Squack Kennedy wears the Raccoon Police Department uniform.
My favorite is Leon, although very close to Jill's, because he is the most evocative.
The only improvement I would like to import on Leon would be to be able to have the complete Matilda and not just the gun part. That would be great.
I also add that the Nemesis model (version with rocket launcher) is also present and it would be really nice to be able to have a version with the tentacle coming out of the hand, as well as it would be interesting to have a Mister X duck or a Leon Kennedy with the Resident Evil 4 costume.
Among the other models in the series we can also find Hunk, Ada Wong, the resident Evil 4 Merchant and a real treat for Resident Evil 2 fans, the Tofu Survivor.
(Obtainable in Resident Evil 2 by successfully finishing Leon and Clair's scenarios three times in a row)
