Tips for Resistance on survival mode in spec ops, on Call Of Duty Modern warfare 3 learn how to get far! ( MW3 )

In this hub, you will learn the tips you need to get as far as you need on resistance on Call Of duty Modern Warfare 3, in Survival Mode. My current record is 49, and can make it further following these simple tips and strategies to get far.If you have any questions or comments please feel free to send a shout out, and i will also write a guide telling you some generic tips on how you should play all of the Survival maps, and which guns are the best.

ALSO!!! - I am starting a new clan. If you are reading this feel free to message me on Xbox Live, or on Twitter. As of now I am only open to people on Xbox, but will be moving multi-platform in December/January. So please feel free to contact me with questions. Also I will have a Website specifically for the clan, and it will be pretty big. My Gamertag is MKS JohnR

Also upon request I have created a Twitter account for Johnrr's Hubs which can be found here

Also.. I am on the Xbox Live network, for those of you who continue to ask, my gamer tag is Agent Johnr. I tend to not add new members from here unless I play with you first, and I only play hardcore domination, or Infected, but either way if you see me on, feel free to send a shout out.

Right below is a link to my other hub teaching the basics and going over which weapons should be used in survival mode, and the strategies that can be applied to ALL the maps.

The tips

Just for reference, when buying stuff i am expecting you to be at least level 25, but the higher the level the better.

So when you starting off, you should not be worried about upgrading any weapons in early rounds. This is not necessary and will not be key until later rounds, also saving your money will be helpful and essential at later rounds to ensure your survival. So for the first few rounds i would say don't spend any money.

The first few rounds the enemy will be carrying shotguns. I would pick these up and collect ammo, and use these weapons for a few rounds. Once the enemy starts to carry the MP5 this is when you should upgrade your weapon, or use the MP5 instead of the shotgun, or pistol. If you buy a weapon, stay away from Snipers, Shotguns, pistols, small machine guns, or anything that is not in the assault rifle/ Light machine gun class. If you choose assault rifles, i would say buy the best one you can buy at your level, and continue to do this through all the levels, and if you buy a light machine gun, it really doesn't matter which one you buy, but i suggest buying the best one you can at your level.

Personally i suggest light machine guns over assault rifles because you can carry more ammo. And when you have to buy more ammunition at later rounds you will get the bigger bang for you buck, so i suggest using a light machine gun and if so, buy them for both of you classes.

As far as kill streaks go, i do not think this is very important, but you can buy them. This will help you as you as you play throughout the game, but as i said, i do not find these crucial in the early levels, and you can manage later levels without having any of these.

When it comes to predators, or attack copter, i would say predator missiles are key. They are great for taking out the juggernaut that you will face at higher levels. I would not suggest using either of these at early levels, as these will not help you get as far as you need to throughout the game. They will kill the enemy but its more of a waste of money, than using your weapon.

As far as the assistance by either a riot shield team, or a regular team. If you can wait then i will always suggest spending the $5000 to buy the riot shield team. They will last much longer than the regular team and are very effective.

Buying a turret. This is also crucial. The turrets do matter, The grenade turret is much better than the regular turret, but if your not a high enough level a regular turret will be fine. But either way a turret is crucial. I will get to where you should place it on this level when i talk about your strategy for where to go.

As far as explosives and everything else from the grenade box, i would say not to worry about it. The only crucial thing is that you always maintain a self revive, because at any point something could go wrong you and you may need a pick up. So whether your playing alone or with a friend it is key that you ALWAYS have a self revive. Also it can be smart to keep your flashes stocked up especially when the juggernauts come along, this will allow you to stun and paralyze them for easier killing.

The placement.

The best placement on resistance is right where you start off. To the right of the ammo bos is an underpass.. And above that is a balcony, with two entrances. Your best strategy is to set 2 turrets (preferably both grenade) at on entrance, and lay prone with your weapon and face the other way. the guys can only come up those 2 ways, and with a squad of people (riot or regular) you will have no problem defending that area. Also you can easily replenish your ammo at the end of each round.

Keeping a self revive is crucial as i said before, and a predator missile on standby, or LMG for the juggernaut. Flash bangs are helpful for juggernaut, so you and your team can take them out. And overall using this strategy and following tose simple plans you should have no problem making it to at least 35, if not higher.

daniel joiner on May 12, 2017:

even though my disc is messed up i got to wave 24 by myself

MISTER MURR MURR on January 13, 2015:

i've only played this game like once or twice but i made it like i think up two round 28 by myself and all i had was past experience from other COD games and my expert skills in halo to reach that round all i can say is that i did something way different from what you suggested just saying

asiastar from New York on October 03, 2014:

Dustin, large guns take out juggernauts pretty fast. Let me know if you want to play together. I made it up to about 6o something but I get bored by then, playing like 3-4 hours. I setup clamores at spawning points to shave down the attacking force. I only bring riot shield guys in as a temporary buffer at those levels. they get surrounded and killed fast.

But that little store in the corner is really the best spot to war it out with them once your past like lever 30

Dustin on October 02, 2014:

My friend and i set up in the very opposite corner of the map he suggested in that little shop there. we have turrets pointing out the window so we never have to worry about that side. We set up claymores along the back entrance so we don't have to worry about that and we get predator missiles and a riot squad. We have very easily made it to 35, 36 and 38 every time we play. I think we will try taking out the choppers as fast as we can in order to maximize that and not lose our riot shield guys. This is very beneficial because if you can't kill a juggernaut before he gets to you, you can easily escape out the back flashbang him and kill him. We both get the striker Shotgun and if you flashbang the juggernaut you can kill him with less than a full clip out of the shotgun. Its the easiest way to kill a juggernaut, other than and airstrike. I do recommend getting an LMG. but get the striker shotgun as a secondary weapon, only use it on the juggernauts after you flashbang them.

Cody Miller on June 16, 2014:

Those tips were helpful I got to round 25 solo so thank u

Patrick G on February 20, 2014:

I just camp in the main building on Resistance.

kirk on December 05, 2013:

im playing mw3 on computer my highest level is lvl 38 in resi. im looking for some great players add me in steam on my steam acc dikkepiet my ingame name s captain kirk

travis miller on September 03, 2013:

I find that placing 5 c4 charges near a door and detonating it at the right time should kill a juggernaut instantly.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 22, 2013:

Someone else asked me about this, when they read about other extensions, and honestly I have never seen extensions or other attachments for weapons..

Jeff on June 30, 2013:

John...I was reading something about the upgrades for the weapons, and someone recommended getting an "extended mag" upgrade for the ACR 6.8 rifle. I looked through the upgrades and there isn't an extended mag upgrade...just the usual assortment of scopes and a grenade launcher. Have you seen an extended mag...for any weapon?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on June 10, 2013:

Good to hear from you Jeff, and yes I remember the days when you swore it was impossible to get above level 20.. And now you can get to 54.. Keep at it, and maybe you'll eventually hit 100 ;) haha.. But anyways glad to see you're still with us...

Jeff on June 08, 2013:

Hey's me. I moved across the country and have been playing El Cristo Redentor on MW2, but just wanted you guys to know...I just today survived until Level 54, and got killed by the last Juggernaut. Of course, as you know, by Level 54 Juggs are impossible to kill, not even a predator bomb dropped directly on top of them kills them. Anyway, not bad for someone who swore up and down last year that you can't get past Level 20. Boy do I feel like a dummy for saying that. It takes a lot of luck, of course.

Thanks to all of you for all your help.

Hyper Shadic 2000 on June 04, 2013:

@Wraith I mean "camp in the car" blowing 3 cars next to the house and laying down on one.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on May 24, 2013:

Yah I agree with wraith, I may know the glitches from what I have seen on Youtube, but I think that corrupts the leaderboards and I will NOT give people advice, or advise people to use glitches when they are playing survival mode.

Wraith on May 22, 2013:

@Pex Getting past wave 15 on bakaara is pretty good, getting past wave 20 is usually slightly above average (I think). Hitting wave 34? I'm pretty sure that is SIGNIFICANTLY above average. Then again, I'm basing this of solo survival, which I believe is a bit mroe difficult.

@Hyper Shadic 2000 Uhh... "camp in the car"? Also, glitches like that are severely frowned upon here (At least as far as Johnrr and I go).

@JJJ ...Glitches that give you invulnerability like that are not appreciated. They take all the challenge out of it. No challenge = no fun. We want fun.

Hyper Shadic 2000 on May 21, 2013:

also do you about the gun glitch, you can hold 3 or more guns instead of holding 2 guns

Hyper Shadic 2ooo on May 21, 2013:

I know your tips are great but i camp in the house because after wave 22 the helicopter come at every and during the juggernaut waves including wave 26 30 34 38 i camp in the car. I got to wave 49 by this. So how you get through the wave 23 and higher during the copter and people while camping outside.

Pex on April 26, 2013:

Me and a friend hit 34 on resistance about 3x, is that above average??? We camp in the house in the center and for juggs we do map sprints.

Is 25 on bakaara good?

Is. 29 on dome good?

Is 21 on carbon good?

Wes on April 22, 2013:

By far the best way of dealing with non juggernaut rounds (especially on single player) is the building. The choppers will just eat you alive if you stay out in the open. Juggernaut rounds best place to be is the ledge by the gate. Kill the juggernaut in front of you, air strike the place behind you and when it starts getting too hectic make a run behind you (should be fairly clear because of the air strike) Go through the building and plant claymores/c4s and detonate them. Basically just got to run around after that and get anything else you need along the way.

JJJ on February 09, 2013:

There is a glitch i got to wave 67 and we got tired after. there a glitch on every mw3 survival map. resistance one is blow up the 3 cars in the line...climb on top go prone on the bonnet nothing can touch you...only use it when 3 riot jugz fall down with ground forces level 26+ really ez..under ground one is when you facing opposite of where u get pred missile on left hand side at the top next to car lay prone right next to the silver gate same nothing can touch ya not even the shooting planes.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 04, 2013:

No Problem Joseph, glad it helped.. The comments will outline some pretty good strategies as well..

Joseph on February 03, 2013:

your strategies are perfect, I first started to stay in that middle house but.. Mom said I had to move to I moved to that house on the far left from where you start up. Then that just got lame.. So I looked your web sit a friend told me about and now.. I'm living on the streets(bridge). It's cheaper. Walmart and Kay mart are close buy for ammo and flashes. Wave 43 and getting better thanks for the page

Joseph on February 03, 2013:

dude that's pretty sweet I got to wave 38 twise in a row.. But I CAN'T get any higher!

Dick on February 03, 2013:

I am getting better and better... went to 120 waves on some of the Maps. for Resistence, the strategy I outlined above still works great. The most important thing to do during JUG rounds is to keeo the dogs alive when caped on top of the cars... that way the JUGs don't crowd you by coming in between the cars...

I also have a great use for Claymores... When Jugs do come close to you when you are on top of the hood, just open up and deploy a Claymore right in front of you pointing towards the jugs. It will probably kill you, but then your team mate can immediately revive you...

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 31, 2013:

The world record on this map is probably near 150 ish.. I would assume.. My best for this map is in the 50's.. But also I haven't played survival in about 4 months, nor have I even played MW3.. It all falls on getting into a groove.

kaZiu on January 30, 2013:

What is your best wave on Resistence without teammate? I got to level 50 today, using tactic difrent than yours. I was wondering what's the world record on this map

KaZiu on January 30, 2013:

I got to level 50 on resistence (SOLO, PC)

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 30, 2013:

wow 130.. that's good.. Umm as far as tips, I would say check out my guide for all survival maps, but I haven't personally played survival in a long time because I've been stuck on Black Ops 2..

Cedric on January 27, 2013:

Well I going to pay solo now I'm level 30 i think or 29... But is camping in that souviner shop a good strategy some guy on youtube got to wave 130 o.O . what are some other tips though ?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 21, 2013:

Cedric.. That may be a little..... tough.. Umm to be honest with split screen I usually try to camp in areas that are close to each other.. Smaller areas that don't require shooting enemies off in the distance.. I like the split screen idea, I may come out with a whole line of guides for split screeners..

Cedric on January 20, 2013:

Can you give me a guide for split screen two people cause my sister just wants to play.

tony on January 19, 2013:

well done jeff level 50 oh yea of little faith lol

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 16, 2013:

Glad you enjoyed the read.. :)

Bmx4lyf93 on January 14, 2013:

I agree I always die round 30 like 10 times in the building and keep during so I'm goin to try your technique at least it seams like it will work well past round 30 cheers for the guide man

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on December 07, 2012:

Yes I agree.. Many people have said that this is the best strategy, but at higher levels, you can easily get swarmed with the slightest mistake like reloading at the wrong time..

Wraith on December 01, 2012:

storman, I believe multiple people have already suggested that location, both on this page and john's solo survival guide. And the biggest problem with that spot is that enemies REALLY start swarming you after about 20 waves or so.

storman whitten on November 29, 2012:

when you are on the resistance map you know the house in the middle of the map in the back there is atable u can place turrents behind it on both sides and camp behind the couch and u are invinsible to bullets untill ur turrents get de stroyed it is good becouse helicopters cant shoot you

bob on November 01, 2012:

i got to level 90 on doing fire wood, times are tough

b1ackkf1r33 on October 25, 2012:

My best wave was 45 without a team member

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on October 02, 2012:

Yah I have noticed that, and I am not sure whether it was a mistake that was never fixed, or a purposely done error to make things harder.. Either way it is very annoying.

Wraith on October 02, 2012:

Yeah... I've been killed multiple times on multiple maps (usually Seatown though) because a juggernaut has shot a C4 out of my hands...

Also, you ever notice that enemy claymores have a 360 degree blast angle while yours only have a 180 degree angle? Just doesn't make sense to me.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on October 01, 2012:

Cars and apartment are good if you can really get the strategy down, and get lucky.. One false move like an enemy shooting the C4 early can leave you stuck in there. ALTHOUGH As said, if you know what your doing it will work fine.

robert kinney on October 01, 2012:

"dick" has the best strategy. It can get you to level 40-50-60easy . The cars and apartment are best.

jason on September 23, 2012:

I use 2 lmgs and sit at the top of the stairs right were you spawn if you craw to the corner and just switch weapons you go pretty far

Dick on September 17, 2012:

I have consisitently gone to Wave 66 with a team member.

For Jug rounds (10, 15, 20, 26, 30, then every 4 waves... 34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66...). I normally camp in the central house with 2 senty/grenade guns (one of each) near the back by the fireplace). Also 10 C4s spread in the front yard, and 5 of my team-mate's C4 on the back ramp coming up... we explode them (Double X) when a lot of the enemy gathers over them... Don't use C4s during the jug waves and the waves immediately follwing the jug waves.

On the Jug rounds, we run to the side court yard (where 3 cars are parked near the garbage dump) and we each prone on the hood of a car --side by side so we can revive each other without having to get up or move. Use a Flash, then aim to their head... they cannot reach you too easily.. and walk around "lost" looking for you.

After wave 34... we buy Air Stike and call a Riot squadeach just before the round starts.... They stay away during the whole wave but are handy following the wave. We just throw a flash then the air strike when the jugs surround us... The team member closest to the gate needs to watch out for soldiers shooting from the side barred window/openning... and also coming from behind the walll where the garbage dump is.... Gotta have 2 LMGs (86 & 36) with Red Dot and Grip each. Plus Sleigh of Hand... Self Revive, Body armour...

Good luck

cj on September 14, 2012:

this by far the best strategy to use for this map. me and my friend only get to round 26 hiding in the house on the centre of the map with this strategy we got to wave 40 thanks

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on September 01, 2012:

Sadly Jeff I did not start writing for this site until the very end of Black ops 2, beginning of MW3.. So my guides only date back to about 1 year ago as far as guides go. For the future I will continue to pump out for all the major games, but I don't have the time right now to go back and pump guides out for games that far back, and especially don't have the time to play them enough to write out some guides.

Jeff on August 31, 2012:

John, have you done any guides for Spec Ops in MW2? I play that a lot as well. My favorite is O Cristo, where you fight in the Favela. As usual, there are a few horribly unrealistic and inconsistent things, like the enemy NEVER misses you when he shoots, and you can empty a LMG clip at someone without killing them. Takes away from an otherwise fun game. But I was just curious. I try to alternate between the 2 different Spec Ops, to stay fresh.

asiastar from New York on August 18, 2012:

Congratulations Baso, I think I only make it to like 34 or something on Bakaara.

sorry, tom any swearingl language automatically gets deleted. While this is not a site for kids, I try to keep chats clean..

Megamonkey, My GT is Agent JohnR , space between agent and johnr... If you add me, We can play a game, I won't be on again for about a week(moving back into college) but I should have some time when I get settled back in to start playing survival.

Megamonkey on August 16, 2012:

John could we have a game together so I can really get a feel of your tactic I all ways find that other players use different tactics my name is megamonkey123678 thanks

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 10, 2012:

hahahahaha, well yes I agree that in later rounds you can get rampages, but in later rounds, i never seem to need the little extra money they give. By round 30 I tend to have more money than I know what to do with. never the less I feel that when rampaging it would be effective for early rounds such as between 1-15 as this is when your setting your player up for the whole game. After that you make enough each round, and already have most things, ususally you just need to replenish ammo, buy kill streaks (predators) and more explosives ;). Thanks for commenting asiastar :).

asiastar from New York on August 10, 2012:

Hey John, You can get rampages in the later rounds as well by laying c4 and claymore traps where you know 3 or more enemies may pass by at a time, get like 3 or 4 of those large hits within an few seconds and you get Rampage points. its harder in the latter round because it takes like 80-100 body rounds to kill a light armored solider making it near impossible to do it with LMG's alone, Explosives explosives explosive, once you use them correctly you will start to feel bad for them. :)

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 10, 2012:

Megamonkey. The rampage tactic refers to making extra money on levels when you get points for kill streak and rampage. What your goal is to run around the map, and wait until the enemy is bunched up together, and lay into the group with heavy light machine gun fire, or any gun fire. You can sometimes make and extra 3-5 thousand dollars on a round by getting the rampage, and kill streak bonuses. But as far as i know thats the rampage tactic. Its mainly trying to make you more money. If that helps let me know, if not, try to explain where you heard rampage tactic from. If it was me point it out, if not still point it out. But in my opinion and where i've heard it, it was used as a money making strategy, and usually only works for early rounds. Thanks again for asking.

I don't know on August 10, 2012:

I don't know

You let not youngest auto correct sorry

Megamonkey on August 09, 2012:

John could youngest me know about the rampage tactic?

MisterX on August 09, 2012:

Girlygirl if ya want we can play together 2 noobs might do well lol

asiastar from New York on August 09, 2012:

I love Solo as I get to just depend on myself. I rarely call for the riot or the special forces teams anymore. I started not calling them and realized I can get through the very hard boards 30-50 without them. when I call them its easier, but I guess I have been playing this one way too much.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 08, 2012:

Congrats Girlyfirl on making it that far, each time you will make it further, and eventually you will be shocked how far you made it.

Thanks for commenting, and your balcony is not a bad spot to camp.

I agree megamonkey, i am not a fan of solo, and prefer playing with at least 2 people.

Megamonkey on August 08, 2012:

I don't like soloist not as fun

canonfodder on August 07, 2012:

I can get to 50 solo. for later jug rounds i go to the balcony with 1staircase in bottom left corner. I leave the helis till last in previous rounds for time as soon as i kill the heli i drop the riot guys in the courtyard and run up the stairs as far into the balcony so the riot guys move onto the stairs in a group u dont them on the balcony or ground position is important. so you stand at the top of stairs with riot just below you to draw fire the jugs go for the riot guys. I use lmgs and aim for the head if a jug gets Close enough the riot guys charge to knock him over and while thats happening im unloading my lmg into his head. after a while its just a start point and u jump the balcony wheb your down to your last riot guy and run to the clothes shop run and gun to mop up the rest once u have them grouped on the run its easy riot jug always last

girlygirl73@ on August 06, 2012:

I made it through 19 then 20 they dropped 3 juggernauts and I freaked out lol thanks so much I do "not" know how I would have made it this far without this page!! Once again thanks guys!! I tried playing online but people don't like playing with newbies lol

Megamonkey on August 06, 2012:

I rampage the first 10 rounds and don't buy anything you end up with like 100000$ at the end

jimmydean on August 04, 2012:

i made it to 27 staying in the house in the middle of the map with A riod sheild sqaud and to sentry guns down stairs

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 03, 2012:

Hey Ethan, Thanks for commenting. To be honest, I don't mind your strategy. I use that spot when I play infected and have gotten a few Moab's by that car. With that being said, for Survival. The only thing I would worry about is enemy using cover straight ahead of you on those concrete plant barrels. Other than that you spot is actually pretty good. I don't know if I like that much open space to come at me either, but I will definitely give your strategy a shot next time I play resistance on survival.

@Girlygirl73- LOL, umm well, once the juggernauts star to come close the only thing that I can suggest is that you run a big circle around the map. Let the follow you, but not get close enough to kill you. Make sure while your circling you get flashes, C4, or a predator missile ( depending on how you want to kill them) and just take your time with them. You do not need to kill them instantly but kill them gradually. Just take your time, and slowly kill them and be patient. Thanks for commenting.

girlygirl73 on August 02, 2012:

thanks to your awesome page I made it to 15 woohoo and well I have another issue how do I kill 2 Juggernauts????? I guess it don't help that they scare the crap out of me lol

ethan on August 02, 2012:

Hey John I'm not saying my strategy is better I just want to know what you think about going to the top right corner of the map where there is a blue car and a lamp post and placing two sentries I don't care what kind they are against the barbed wire and getting 2 riot shield squads because its coop and staying there as long as possible. I find that in the later waves it only works if you take out the helicopters asap but other than that I don't think there are too many problems. Thanks for taking time to read this I look forward to your opinion.

Dagg98 on July 29, 2012:

Hi again .... We now have got to wave 31 ...we stayed outside for the whole time .I think the juggernauts are the hardest things to kill...but they do look cool.:)

Jeff on July 28, 2012:

I hit wave 50 last night. Not bad for a guy who said you couldn't get past level 25, just a few months ago. :-)

Jeff on July 27, 2012:

AsiaStar, you're right. In terms of damage and whatever, the game isn't realistic. It allows you "the player " to recover from being shot, and of course what we mentioned...the bomb going off right ON TOP of a Juggernaut and NOT killing him. I'd like to see the game makers change that a little. Make it consistent. Also, I think once you reach the highest rating you can get....50....they should give you 40 seconds to prepare for the next wave instead of 30. If they're going to make the enemies harder and harder to kill, give you a fighting chance to still win. level 10 to kill the Juggernaut, I use a predator missile. The missiles and extra squads are located in the courtyard behind the middle house. Grab it, run back into the house, and bombs away! If you shoot at it as Asiastar suggested, make sure you throw flashbangs at it, too.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 26, 2012:

Your welcome, and thank you for reading, and commenting. And thanks Asiastar for assisting as well. :)

Dagg98 on July 26, 2012:

Thanks for the tips :)

girlygirl73 on July 25, 2012:

thanks you guys you are the best...

girlygirl73 on July 25, 2012:

thanks so much

asiastar from New York on July 25, 2012:

@girlygirl, Wave 10 is the first Juggernaut, You need to keep trying but john is right about the light machine gun it will go through his amour better than the assault rifles and the MP5 you may have picked up will take every bullet in it to kill him, that's if it was full at 180 rounds.

So as soon as you get $7000 go buy the light machine gun and try hard to do head shots. try to lose your fear of him and find some cover at times to heal if you need to.

soon he will by your easy kill and you will kill him with in 30 seconds of him coming down from the chopper.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 25, 2012:

@girlygirl... Just keep trying, buy light machine gun as first weapon, and tryaying with someone. Its a lot easier than trying to get to high levels by yourself.

@Dagg.. Personally I do not like being inside at all.. Because IF you start to slightly get overrun you have NO WHERE to go except into corners, or trying to hide. I think being outside is the best strategy, and running around the map on juggy rounds.

We got to wave 26 , but there are too many people ....especially bomb squads...I have been reading some of the coments and I think me and my friend should hide out in the middle house... Do you think we'll get overun in the house?

girlygirl73 on July 25, 2012:

I don't know how to get passed the one guy on wave 10 please help :O)

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 20, 2012:

Trev, Ideally I would like to get more in depth for each level, and I have had some commenters do that. My only problem with it, is that I would like to do this with ALL of my maps, but with work, and the new games coming out soon I feel A- these will soon get very little views due to people going to new games, and B- that with the new games coming out I will be moving in with LOTS of new guides, and strategies for the new games. Although If I do decide to update this guide a bit, I have voice to text software that will help greatly, but I am working kinks out in that as well. Thanks for commenting, and I hope to add more content soon to my older survival hubs.

Hey Jeff the game is not realistic in terms of damage scale. as you progress in the game the armor on all the enemies get tougher. even the claymore experts can take 30 rounds to the chest with not body armor on which is impossible. dogs take 1/2 a clip after round 50 unless you give them all head-shots you cant even use assault rifles in those later boards you will need at least 2 LMG and try for head-shot. Predators Missiles would take out the whole map in real life

and yes 10 yards would leave no trace of 3 guy in Jugg suits. maybe a burnt finger or toe. but I don't even think you would see blood at ground zero in real life. It would get cooked .

So the game can't be full realistic just play with that mindset. think of them as having a force field you need to penetrate it.

Jeff on July 19, 2012:

Well, I still get killed in dumb ways. Tonight I was in Level 42 and I dropped a predator on 3 Juggs standing RIGHT NEXT to each other, and it only killed one of them. Ridiculous! A predator missile is a bomb and there is no way anybody, I don't care WHAT kind of suit he's wearing, can survive if it lands within 10 yards of him! Anyway, they survived, and I didn't. But it sure is gratifying to know that you have to keep trying different strategies, and you will find one that works. I owe you, and all the guys, a debt of gratitude.

Trev Rich on July 18, 2012:

Nice tut John, it's a little bit brief though?

I think you have the skills and the foresite to write a much clearer in depth tut than this.

I'm not putting you down trust me, I just think that it could be a lot clearer. I have soo much respect for you for writing this and replying to all the comments.

Up till now I have only tried in side the house, my son and I made it to level 33 but tonight will try the stairs.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 18, 2012:

Jeff it is extremely good to see that you are making it into the 40's ESPECIALLY when i look back a couple months and see you testifying how impossible it is to make it past 25. Congrats, and hopefully when Black Ops 2 comes out you will find ease in the zombie game mode and getting far, and will be able to communicate still in the future. Thanks again for commenting and coming back each time. :)

Jeff on July 17, 2012:

Hard to believe I always thought there was NO WAY to make it to level 25. Today I got killed, with only 5 enemies left, in level 42. And I would have gotten furhter if I had not thrown some C4 into a tree near me by accident.

There is a combination of strategies I use thanks to another Jeff, Wraith, Tony, and of course John. You have to always have claymores and C4 and Self Revive, and Sleight of Hand for speed loading, and use the machine guns John recommends. I used the 604 today and it works well too, but is a little slower to load than the others. And you always have to sprint everywhere. I find if I make a mistake...forget to replace a Sentry Gun or forget to renew my self revive, or forget to load up on Flashbangs, I always pay for it and get killed. There is a LOT to do every round to survive, but I can testify, you can make it to levels up in the 40s if you don't make any mistakes.

Well, I am 20, and have been playing xbox since call of duty 4 and earlier. Over time I have learned certain ways to argue, and talk back to people. But to be honest if someone is being a jerk, then mute them.. that is by far the easiest manner.

Do u have a strategy for the village stage?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 07, 2012:

I feel it would be more like 8 hours of gameplay for 100+ levels, and I agree 100% you probably would not feel to great especially when you finally do die at that point. Games are made to be fun.. competitive.. but fun, and that is another reason everyone should try their own best method.

asiastar from New York on July 07, 2012:

John is so right, I almost feel its so tedious to play certain boards now as it takes around 2 hours to get to board 50 or so. sometimes I just reach around 50 and turn off the Xbox.

You should play the game to have fun. I don't really mind getting killed in the game as long as I give them a "Reaming""1 man kills 700!" and I feel good about it. that is the whole reason to play right? to feel good. 4 hours straight play usually does not have a "feel good" ending in my book, but to each his own.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 07, 2012:

Everyone can do there own strategies. And typically I get wary watching videos of people getting over level 100.. Not only does it take HOURS of gameplay, but unlike zombies with people shooting at you, you would have to constantly get lucky. So while it is possible. I think everyone needs to try their own strategy, and no 1 strategy is perfect, but each one can be tweaked. As well as yours I have seen youtube vids of people getting 100+ running and gunning, and camping on staircase across from mine. So it just takes luck, skill, and time to get far. Strategies are just meant to help.

crstian on July 06, 2012:

yo the best straegy is to camp in the center house....go to youtube and wath this guy named TheRelaxingEnd go to 130 no glitches...i made it myself to 56 camping in center house

Wat sentries do u use? Grenade or regular?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on June 24, 2012:

Thanks for clarifying Asiastar. I think that as far as this map goes tend to have my teammate usually distract everyone, or I distract everyone while he calls something in, but sometimes it does not work. I can also say that I did try the c-4 method, and I did enjoy allowing the jugg to make it 3 to 4 pieces in, then blowing them, and allowing those pesky soldiers to die both in front and behind him, and then laying into the jugg with heavy fire. If I can perfect it, I will update my hub, talk about it, and credit you for coming up with that idea, but I wanna try a few more things with it, before I say its better than my traditional methods.
