Intro

This guide/hub will teach you the tips and strategies that you can and should use to get to high levels on the map Arkaden for survival mode on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

PLEASE NOTE ::: Below is a guide for general strategies for all survival maps that i suggest you read prior to the rest of this hub. I will reference and not going into great detail on the things you should use. But if you read the guide i give full reasons of why you should use each item.

The Map

So first let me go over the map before getting to the strategy and just explain what each thing i drew on the map is.

The orange X's refer to the turret placement on this map, along with the direction they should be facing.

The red X's refer to where the players should stand. The player closest to the turret can move respectively around to behind the turrets if they choose.

The blue lines will refer to the areas where the enemy can, and will come from. This area will represent where the majority of the troops will run towards you from.

The strategy

Okay, so here is the strategy. First off, let your turrets take most of the hits and the most of the work should be done by them.

One player should stand guard around the turrets, and ward off the enemy as they come close to the turrets. This player should be wielding dual light machine guns by round 12 or 13, and should be watching this way throughout the game.

As for the other player. You will watch the doorway with dual light machine guns as well. You will also have a good amount of troops coming at you, so it is best if you watch carefully and take out as many troops as you possible.

If you do get bogged down typically the best route is to go away from the turrets, and follow the teammate who will be watching the area not near the turrets. This will allow the turrets to guard you from behind, only watch your front and get away.

On juggernaut round typically i say you will probably be forced to run. If so just start making a big loop around the map, and allow the enemy to chase you slowly taking them out as needed. And when juggernauts get close flash them and kill them.

It is suggested that you acquire a riot shield team, by both of you after every juggernaut round if possible. usually the rounds give a solid 2-3 rounds before the next juggernaut and the riot team can usually supplement a lot of the work that you typically would need to do.

Remember to always keep self revive. This is crucial for later rounds. Also you should keep all of your grenades, flashes, claymores, c4 well stocked if you have the extra cash as those will make it easier when you need to make a fast getaway.

So there is your strategy for Arkaden. If you have questions PLEASE feel free to ask below, and i will try my best to help you, below are some links to my other strategy guides.

WOW.. that's insane.. haha

I have now made it to 100+ waves on almost 3/4 of the Maps including the DRC maps.... just finished doing Seatown to 163... tough tough tought.. took us 11+ Hours. Arkaden is actually one of the easier ones.... we found a place/location that you and your team-mates can stay during JUG rounds and the JUG won't move once they land.... you can kill all the regular enemies first, then once you move, the jugs start to move too and then al you have to deal with are the JUGS...

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on May 24, 2013:

I saw that on your other comment.. And I agree, the P90 gives you a LOT of mobility and will allow you to have a lot more success, and the LMG will allow great turn shooting depending on your play style..

Wraith on May 22, 2013:

That's pretty much a simplified version of what I usually do, but I've recently started considering using the FMG-9 or the P90 (LOTS of spare ammo, pretty decently sized clips, good rates of fire, and (most importantly), a fast reload) until slightly higher waves.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on April 30, 2013:

Yah that is true. Personally I like picking up the enemy weapons, and avoiding spending money on assault rifles, until I can afford LMG's.

Wraith on April 29, 2013:

If you would prefer an assault rifle, I would suggest the AK-47. Sure the higher tier enemies use the ACR and the FAD, but the AK-47 deals more damage with its 30 round clip than the FAD does with its 40 round clip. And unlike the Type-95 or MK14, you can shoot single shots or full auto.

Teammates do have a tendency of screwing you over sometimes.. haha..

Ah, Arkaden, where my first t4 wave 15 was met. but my teammate got too excited and jumped into a crowd of people

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on July 20, 2012:

Glad the strategy helped, and thank you for reading :).

Darrenzor on July 18, 2012:

that strategy worked really well for me 2, wave 58 or something around that, died from juggys so tough they are then...... hahaha

but i enjoyed it

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on June 13, 2012:

I would still use Dual LMG... 1 clip of an LMG is like 4-6 clips of an assault rifle, so i still say the 2 lmg's is better.

Bobbobo211 on June 13, 2012:

If you haven't levelled up enough for Sleight of Hand, would it be better to go assault rifle/lmg- use the lmg first, until reloading, then switch to assault? Or just go straight out dual lmgs?

Wraith on June 01, 2012:

On the maps where you start with the MP412, I ALWAYS pick up the MP5s the enemies drop then replace the MP412 with a regular pistol (usually USP or Five-Seven). Otherwise, I buy an FMG9 fairly early on or wait to buy LMGs. As soon as I can, I buy sleight of hand.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on May 04, 2012:

First thing I buy is either a light machine gun, or sleight of hand. I use the enemies weapons until I upgrade to my next gun.

Rjmaster on May 03, 2012:

What do you buy first when starting out?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 06, 2012:

Worked for me :)

Seems like a good camping setup.
