Tips and strategy for Terminal on survival mode in spec ops, on Call Of Duty Modern warfare 3 , how to get far MW3

Today's hub is going to be playing survival mode on the map terminal. In this hub I will talk about the strategy, along with information about this map, about the differences this map has come from since it was modern warfare two, and mainly how you should go into playing this map.

Before I get started I would also like to say feel free to look at any of my other survival mode maps for strategies. I have written a strategy for pretty much every single map that is on the modern warfare 3. Also I would like to mention that it I am getting ready for black ops 2 to come out, which I will be writing plenty of hubs for black ops 2 once that does come out. Below I will attach a link also to my guide for getting high levels in all the survival modes in which you'll learn strategies that you can apply to any survival mode map, and will teach you how to get the high levels. Please feel free down below in the comments to the send me a message either to let me know what you think or what your strategy is.

ALSO!!! - I am starting a new clan. If you are reading this feel free to message me on Xbox Live, or on Twitter. As of now I am only open to people on Xbox, but will be moving multi-platform in December/January. So please feel free to contact me with questions. Also I will have a Website specifically for the clan, and it will be pretty big. My Gamertag is MKS JohnR

The strategy guide

Okay so before I get started I would like to point out the fact that I just downloaded the new terminal map. I have played this map a few times, and I am actually excited that they brought this map from modern warfare two. This was one of my favorite maps in modern warfare two, and was actually very excited when they did bring it over to this game. With that being said I would also like to rate the difficulty of this map. I would probably say somewhere along the lines of between easy and regular. I only say that because it doesn't say anything beyond juggernauts (no armored or riot). Also at the same time it does say chemical warfare which goes to suggest more powerful units above easy. So overall I would say this is in the middle between easy, and regular.

When you start this map, it will put at the bottom of the staircase by the exit to go outside. Right at the top the stairs is where you will find the weapons crate, and this is where you'll constantly be running to, to grab more ammo. The strategy that I'm going to tell you to use on this game is going to be a run and gun strategy, because this will allow you to stay more active most likely indoors away from the helicopters. Also I would like to say that this map seems to throw juggernauts, and helicopters at you early, so be prepared at level 4 for your first encounter with juggernaut and a helicopter.

Being that this part of the guide is your solo guide. I will tell you the strategy that you should follow for when you're playing solo. As said above when you're playing solo I'm going to tell you to use a run and gun strategy, because this will allow you to stay active and not get locked down one position. If you do want to camp you should camp in the exact same area of the map below that I will also be suggesting, co-op section of this guide. I have tried both methods both run and gun, and camping, and I have found that when you're playing solo it is best to run and gun because the bullets tend to not hit you as opposed to when you stand up on top where the camping spot is, you typically can get easily shot in this location.

When you are playing the co-op portion of this came with a buddy or random opponent, the camping spot which I showed you below in the map is the best place to camp. I have seen people camp inside the plane, but that area tends to get shot at more often than when you're up top. Not to mention the fact that when you're up top if one person watches each ladder or a way up to the top, then you're able to get very far in the game little effort. So I would say that the best spot for you to camp with a teammate and get even further is up on top of there, me and my teammate that i usually play with, that I use for all the other survival maps that are here, we camped up there as well, and we got into the 40s after a few tries. On our first try I had played the map before, but he hadn't, so we only made in high 20s the first time, but after that we seem to do pretty well and are able to get in the high 30s at least, but if not 40s.

Now I'll show some tips that can be applied to both solo and co-op. When you play in this map the first thing you should do is go after is your enemy players. Save the juggernauts for after you kill all the enemy soldiers and dogs. Before you kill the juggernaut you should also make sure that you kill the helicopters that are inbound because with the juggernaut shooting at you, and a helicopter, if it hits you a few times you can be put down. So make sure the first thing you do is kill any players and then the second thing you do is kill the helicopter. Usually I would say to kill the helicopter first but if both the players and the helicopter gets lucky they will easily put you down. If you are outside camping with the teammate then you should go after the helicopter first, this will make your life easier, and the life of your teammate easier by going after the helicopter first.

Another good point about the camping position that I have chosen for this map, is that it is close to the ammo box. This will allow you to quickly replenish ammo during or at the end of a round and still get back to the top of the camping location. This will allow you to make sure that you're able to stay alive longer keep your ammo replenished and not have to run across the map. That's one thing that I cannot stress enough is to make sure that your ammo is replenished frequently, and that you always have self-revive. You cannot survive on this map without self-revive nor on any survival map.

So there you have it, the survival map guide for the map terminal. I have guides for all of the survival maps that have come out, with the exception of a couple of the newer maps that I personally just did not have the time to write for, nor did I like the map. If they continue to bring back old maps I will continue to write hubs for those survival guides, but as of now I am going to just be writing guides when the new games come out. I would also like to say again please feel free to comment below, please feel free to throw me suggestions, let me know what your strategies are, if you like my strategies, and also keep in mind I will be getting both Halo 4 and call it duty black ops 2 the nights they come out, and should have guides the first night the games come out, to try to get right on top of it keep you guys ready thank you for reading and I appreciate it, thank you.

I personally prefer Multiplayer.. I haven't had the time until next thursday december 13th to play zombies.. I have been way to busy with school. But now that I am done until January, I can focus on the game to get everyone some zombies guides..

mw3fanatic1 on December 03, 2012:

okay, so which mode do u prefer zombie or multiplayer? And i think the campaign was kind of short, and it sucks how you can't see the missions you've done , only once you beat it you have to restart if you want to play a map that's far into the game u have to start from the beginning.

Other consoles will include PC at some point, but not right now.. We are WAY to small to move to other consoles and are trying to focus on developing our clan.

Wraith on November 29, 2012:

Does "other consoles" include PC? Just curious.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on November 22, 2012:

Right now I am only on Xbox 360.. I will be buying PS3 probably January/March when I can build my clan up a little bigger, so I can start it on another platform as well. Right now I am only available on Xbox, but will be moving to other consoles soon.

mw3fanatic1 on November 20, 2012:

u have an xbox 360 right? if u don't what's ur username for ps3 so me and u could play together if u wanted to together. Plus thanks for responding so quickly it helps. Hope you have a great weekend, with thanksgiving coming up you must be busy so peace:)

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on November 20, 2012:

Yah, I still don't have Nuketown Zombies, but I will probably get it within the next couple days. Been busy working on here, and other things that I haven't had to much time to play. None the less I am finally able to sit down and start playing.

mw3fanatic1 on November 19, 2012:

its fantastic, though it is very hard and confusing on single player zombies because you can't stay in the beginning room long and its hard to protect the bus. And nuketown 2025 was a bit different than i expexted but still great, cause i thought it would get bigger but nope it didn't, and the weapons are cool but i still miss cod bo, and best of all i want FREAKING NUKETOWN ZOMBIES SO BAD, it looks so cool in zombies even though its small. But um yeah and the campaign is kinda of hard to follow? i don't know about you but that's for true for me. And try to put a strategy guide up for tranzit zombies, if you do not already have one up? And its cool how theres building tables in zombies and i love the gava knuckles. So yeah i will respond to you when you respond to me so have a nice night/day peace. :)

mw3fanatic1 on November 08, 2012:

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on November 08, 2012:

Yup, its getting close, and I am getting excited. That's why I keep posting the leaks and new stuff that is getting posted. BUT a LOT of guides will be posted when Black Ops 2 gets released..

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on November 01, 2012:

Thanks, and yes.. when there are a lot of comments coming in it gets slightly stressful.. But between the phone and computer i don't mind throwing a few hours at the least a day to HubPages helping people out..

EmoClaw on November 01, 2012:

I see... that makes sense. I praise you for being so on top of it all. I couldn't handle that kind of pressure. Good work you are doing!

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on October 31, 2012:

Well, Emo-claw.. The thing is, as far as guides go, it is the ones that get out first get the spots on Googles high ranking page.. By writing a guide 2 weeks after the game comes out, there will already be hundreds of guides written, and the search ranking will be page 4+.. Have you gone 4 pages into Google looking for something, because I haven't. What I do with my guides is, post them as SOON as I can, and then I update them with new information as it becomes available, and as it gets recommended. Having something written on day 1, and updating as time goes on gives you the search ranking, the update requirement to keep your search high, and allows for more people to see your content. Also as I have said in NUMEROUS guides, that these are mainly for beginner. It takes WAY to much time to focus on putting out guides for experts, or high levels because first off, if your that good your not reading guides, and 2, if your that good you aren't going to change your ways by what someone else says. So my guides are for those who have bad K/D's, bad win ratios, are stuck on round 10 of zombies/survival, don't understand the perks, or what weapons are good, or are new to the Call Of Duty experience. I do not create guides for experts, I create them for beginners who need help. People who seek advice, and can ask questions and get responses. That is the other important factor. Not so much having the content, but being available from DAY 1 to answer any questions or advise people on what they will need help with..

Thanks for your comment

EmoClaw on October 30, 2012:

How is it that you have guides written for a game that hasn't been released yet? Do you work with Activision? Also, I've noticed some of your guides are more informative and helpful than others. I think you should focus on writing more quality guides than making your focus rushing out guides. I simply don't understand how you can release a guide for a game the day it is released and be considered an authority on the game. It kind of suggests that you think your advice and experience is always superior to others, don't you think? I personally don't think it helps you establish credibility if you are telling people how to play a game the day it is released. We are talking about Call of Duty fans here... who more often than not think they are better than everyone else. I guess that attitude is no different with you. I am not trying to be a jerk...just trying to help. Here is a thought... buy Call of Duty Black Ops 2, play it...give yourself and others time to enjoy it for crying out loud before you jump to judgement and rush out a crappy guide that tells people how to play a game they are probably already too busy playing to find the time to read your ill-informed 'guide'.

Wraith on September 12, 2012:

I've got a suggestion for you! Set up camp in the security area. Set up grenade sentries in line with the metal detectors (1 for each pair of detectors) and hide in one of the corners to the side. Follow the general weaponry tactics (2 LMGs, C4, etc.) and so on. Then there are a couple of different ways to do juggernaut & helicopter waves.

(I don't remember how I did the lower waves, but I'll post another comment when I do or come up with another one)

On higher ones (3rd or 4th juggernaut waves and up), start running. Go out of the security area, head to the right (all while placing claymores backwards), jump out the windows to the RIGHT of the jetway, go up the stairs, and down the plane. Turn around, hide behind the last set of seats (port side of the plane) and unleash hell. When your clip is empty, if you have time, switch to your other LMG and open up. If not, turn around, exit the back of the plane, walk over and head up the emergency ramp while reloading, hide behind the FRONT row of seats (whichever one gives you a good view), and repeat. Haven't gotten high enough where that doesn't finish all the juggs off yet. Then, since this route is almost entirely safe (-ish) from the helis, head to the front of the bookstore and help your sentries take out the helicopters.

Anibalosity on August 22, 2012:

I used this same strategy but always have problems on juggernaut rounds after 40, any tips? Its the helicopters that always kill us

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 16, 2012:

Thanks glad it helped. I have been pretty dedicated to keeping up with MW3 postings for all game modes, spec ops, hints, tips, and can't wait to move on to Black Ops 2. Don't know if I will get any more written for MW3 since I have around 40 guides, and am running out of guides to write. But already have a BUNCH ready for Black Ops 2, and those will be written, and posted once the game is released. Thanks for reading, and commenting, and any further help, just feel free to ask. :)

twinly on August 16, 2012:

Great write up. I enjoyed the strategies and tips. Thanks for taking time to post to my question. I will follow you to try to keep up with your gaming posts.
