This guide/hub will teach you the tips and strategies that you can and should use to get to high levels on the map Outpost for survival mode on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
PLEASE NOTE ::: Below is a guide for general strategies for all survival maps that i suggest you read prior to the rest of this hub. I will reference and not going into great detail on the things you should use. But if you read the guide i give full reasons of why you should use each item.
First lets look at the map itself and let me explain the icons.
First you have the Orange X's. The Orange X's are where your turret placement will go. Your turrets are a pretty essential key because this will take a lot of pressure off of the enemy coming in at you from the angle you won't be paying much attention to.
The Red X's. This is the player placement. This is where you will be standing and I will talk below about what exactly you should be focusing on.
The blue lines. The blue lines will refer to where exactly people will be coming from. The blue lines will show where the enemy will be coming at your from. It is pretty self explanatory on this map considering there are only two routes making this a good spot to burrow down for the long haul.
Now when you are looking at this you may be thinking not that great of an escape route. But that is okay because using this location will be well worth it. There are only two routes for the enemy to come at you, and this makes it very easy for you to take them out.
First off let me talk about the turrets. It does not matter which turrets you choose, personally i have liked lately using one grenade turret, and 1 sentry gun instead of two of either. I feel they work good together and take the enemy out sufficiently. Either way, i like placing them where i do because the grenades will hit the house, and are able to kill the enemy the right way. When you place them the other way, the grenades tend to miss and go by the enemy, but do not miss at all when shot off of the house. Not only that i feel that they corner in together better the way they are coming.
Now lets talk about the players. The players should first blow up the truck that is there. You do not want this going off in later rounds. So you should take this out early on. You next move should be that one player watches the direction the turrets are covering, while the other player switches back and forth between the directions that he will watch. He should focus more on protecting the turrets, and helping the other player out as needed.
When rounds start coming you should both be watching both routes. You should both be focusing on ammo replenishing at the end of rounds as needed. Please refer to my other guide where i talk about the weapons you should use, the perks, and the importance of all the other crates. You can find that guide with a link right under intro at the top of the page.
As far as the helicopter go, you are protected in the beginning from them, but you should still focus on killing them as soon as they come in. You main goal should be that you should start the round and try to take them out early on. This will hold you for the rest of the round. If you wait to long you will end up losing your turrets as the helicopter targets them first.
Next the juggernauts. You should be taking these out first. This is very important in the long run for you. For long survival you have to learn to take the juggernauts out first. You need to learn effective strategies for this. If you have a riot team them using flashes is not crucial as they hurt your team as well, so you may want to just focus on them with heavy light machine gun fire.
Remember that if you must run, this spot is not the best for it, but is great to overall take out the enemy. You will get the enemy to come at you in a pile, and can easily lay into them. So overall this should be your main focus.
If you have any questions please feel free to comment. I am open to better or new strategies, and this one is here to help you get further in the game. With this strategy you should have no problem reaching 30+.

in the outpost the house near to the air support is better because enemies comes from only one direction from front

Hmm, I looked at the Website, and it wasn't bad.. I'll let you know once Black Ops 2 officially comes out, but I do have a BUNCH of guides that are already started that I am waiting for the game to come out to finish.

Nice tips, I haven't played much survival this year but will certainly revisit it briefly before black ops 2 is out, Oh I have a call of duty website if you ever fancy writing an article or two for it, Would give you another outlet!, Let me know if your interested

Yes, you can make the ammo crate jump. It's a little tricky, but possible. Since this method is only possible in survival mode, I'm still not sure whether I would call this a glitch or not. (It does get rather entertaining if you go up there with a full load of C4 and RPGs. Multiple easy quad kills.
Wraith on June 14, 2012:
Okay, I understand what he means now. As far as I can tell, on PC, if your framerate is over a certain amount (333 FPS, I think), you can actually jump higher and take less fall damage. This lets you jump up onto the boxes next to the plane wreck, and then inside (I saw a friend do it trolling in an Infected match, but IDK if it works in single player/spec ops). I guess you could do it by jumping from the ammo box too... I'll have to try that out sometime. I'll be honest, I'm not sure whether I'd consider this a 'glitch' or not, but I might try it to for the entertainment. :D

There's a glitch (or used to be, haven't checked recently if they've patched it) that AwesomeBelgiumGuy is referring to that allows you to do a big jump from the weapons cache in the hanger to the pile of block things next to the plane wreck, and then you can just hop inside it.
John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on June 01, 2012:
I agree with Wraith if you are referring to the building, i am pretty sure you cannot get in the plain wreck, but i could be wrong.
Wraith on May 31, 2012:
AwesomeBelgianGuy, what do you mean "IN the planewreck"? I'm pretty sure the only spots you can go in that building are directly on the floor...
AwesomeBelgianGuy on May 23, 2012:
I just hide out in the planewreck in the hangar on the edge of the map, it's really easy to defend, i made It to wave 53 and would've gone further if my buddy hadn't made that retarded move. Just place 2 sentries underneath the wreck you're sitting in and get 2 lmgs, easy as hell
Wraith on May 22, 2012:
Hey, just a suggestion, but I usually use inside the bunker. One of each sentry watching along the top, lie prone right next to them. Claymores along the tunnel, too. Of course, it can be tough to get out on juggernaut waves, but they usually give you enough warning, and you can leave a riot shield juggernaut (or other type) walking around so you can resupply. And after wave 20 or so, the helicopters start coming on different waves from the juggernauts, and the bunker's window is GREAT for taking the choppers out! (I just made it to wave 24 this way :D)
