I'm an entrepreneur with a variety of interests that range from comics to anime.

Introduction...

On December 9th 2021 Sega and Sonic Team dropped an announcement trailer for Sonic Frontiers. All we got was Sonic running from robotic enemies. From there we get panning shots of three to four different environments. We don’t get any gameplay, just this cinematic sequence.

I'm wondering how this sequence plays into the title.

What we know so far, and the conclusion...

According to an interview with Sonic Stadium, Sonic Frontier’s director Takashi Iizuka stated:”I really hope that this title lays the foundation for future titles. It’s apparent he wants this this to carry the same impact as Sonic Adventure. That’s a bold and ambitious undertaking. My hope is that Iizuka understands what made Sonic Adventure so iconic, and works to give Sonic Frontiers it’s own identity while still staying true to Sonic’s identity. And I hope to high holy Heaven that Sonic Team took their time with this.

Though since development started in 2019, I have a little bit of hope for Sonic Frontiers. Sonic Frontiers will drop on Holiday season 2022 for Ps4/PS5 Xobox One, Xbox One X\S, Nintendo Switc, and PC. Hopefully in time we’ll get some gameplay footage, and a plot synopsis as the deadline draws near. And yeah, I’ll be keeping an eye out for that stuff.
