Fortnite is a survival, battle royale game developed by Epic Games and released on July 21, 2017. Since then, Fortnite's popularity kept increasing, breaking all boundaries and records. Now we've reached a point where almost everyone in the world is familiar with Fortnite's dances like the Floss, the LLama, and other iconic mascots such as Cuddle Team Leader and The Peely Banana.
The level of cultural dominance Fortnite has reached worldwide allowed for some tremendous collaborations with other famous movies, Tv shows, video games, and even real-life stars. With the release of the brand new Deadpool outfit, I had the idea to rank every collaboration/crossover skin we have in Fortnite from worst to best.
22: Chief Hopper
Finn, Chief Hopper, and Sofia may have nothing in common at first glance, but they do share one thing indeed. They're all basic outfits, there's nothing crazy about them, they're kind of dull and hideous compared to some other entries on this list.
20: Zorii Bliss
The only reason I gave Zorii Bliss a little higher spot because she's a little bit different. Her colors, the red and gold, are good and creative minds can have some neat combos. Still, there's nothing good about her and you never see anyone using her.
19: Major Lazer
Major Lazer's skin is kind of weird-looking and it's just a riot of colors. Don't get me wrong, I like Major Lazer as a DJ, I like his music a lot and his lobby soundtracks and emote are lit, but as a skin, he's not really attractive, neither is his back bling. The Lazer Wings are bulky, and we have far better ones.
18: The NFL skins
The NFL skins are some of the lowest-ranking skins by the community, and other than having a variety of colors, there's nothing distinctive about them. In my opinion, soccer skins and the banner brigade set are far superior.
Grind is the male skin that we had during the Air Jordan collaboration; he just doesn't do it for me. Some of his colors don't match him. I mean Pink ?? Seriously? It just looks gross on him. Besides no one used him when he released, and no one is using him right now, unlike his female counterpart.
I believe the only two reasons anyone will buy the Catwoman outfit is either because they missed getting Lynx from the Season 7 Battle Pass, or because they're a collector who has every single skin. If not, that skin is a carbon copy of Lynx and complete garbage ( no offense to the Catwoman character; she's marvelous ). Her edit styles are useless. Even though her Back Bling is cool, I wouldn't spend 1500 Vbucks on a bad reskin and a relatively fine Back Bling.
The Demogorgon is a unique skin for its creepy look and its special animation whenever you do an emote ( His mouth opens wide like the Tv Show). He is obviously better than the other Stranger Things skin we had, and he could easily be an epic skin.
Marshmello is the first-ever skin that was the result of a collaboration. When he first got released, everyone was crazy about him, because it was the first time we had such as skin; not to mention the live Marshmello concert we had in-game. The outfit itself isn't bad: the colors are neat, and it reacts in the dark. His only issue is his massive head, which would leave you at a disadvantage. But all of us are willing to sacrifice a little just to play with one of our beloved DJs.
Star-Lord isn't one of my favorites in the movies nor as a skin. There's nothing special about him. His mask is awful and his Back Bling is basic ( sorry Baby Groot ). The only good thing about the GOTG set in Fortnite is unquestionably the glider but we are looking at skins today, so I'll have to look the other way. You rarely see anyone playing with Star-Lord, and I don't blame them. Perhaps if he had other selectable styles, he would've been better.
I don't have much to say about Rey. She's clean, her clothes and her colors are likable, and that's it. Placing her in the middle of the list is the best thing to do.
Ninja, aka Tyler Blevins, is one of the most popular Fortnite players ever. He took the game to another level, he even played with popular rapper Drake, and he deserves a skin more than anyone. The Ninja skin itself is excellent. I love the different edit styles and his blue color matches a lot of cosmetics.
10: Psycho Bandit
Psycho Bandit: He's bold, he's crazy, and he's great as a skin. It's a pleasure for Borderlands' fans to have him in their locker. Claptrap is a funny pet and using him, along with the psycho buzz axes, will definitely bring some Borderlands vibes to the Battle Royale island.
9: Imperial Storm Trooper
8: Sith Trooper
Imperial Storm Trooper and Sith Trooper could easily be the same skin if they weren't very different characters in the Star Wars story. They've dressed the same armor, just with distinct colors and the reason I put Sith Trooper higher is because of his Back Bling: we rarely see a gun as a Back Bling.
Yes! Of course, our favorite dark crime-fighter has a skin in the game, two in fact: a comic book outfit and another one from The Dark Knight movie. His capes are outstanding, and his event was one of the best we had in the game: We got a Gotham City location and two great, Batman-themed, mythic items.
6: Kylo Ren
To be honest, I'm not Star Wars' biggest fan, and I don't know much about it, but my friends were crazy about Kylo Ren when he released. I got to give it to him, that skin looks badass, especially when wielding a lightsaber. The cape option where you can have the hood on and off is one of a kind. Unfortunately, it's not available for the other skins.
Clutch is the female skin we had during the Jordan crossover, and she is way more desirable than Grind. Her colors match her flawlessly, I admire her clothes, and honestly, she doesn't deserve being associated with Grind.
4: Black Widow
Words cannot describe how thrilled I was when the Avengers update dropped and I saw Black Widow in the shop. This skin is one of the finest in the game. She can be try-hard, she can be associated with a variety of cosmetics since she's black and red and has that blue on her arms. Not to mention, she's one of my favorite Avengers. Her blond style disappoints me a little, but I cannot allow myself to hate her.
3: Harley Quinn
Epic Games did a fantabulous job recreating Gotham City's lady of mayhem from both the Suicide Squad and The Birds Of Prey movies. Each of her two edit styles is terrific and peculiar in its way. Besides, the diversity of colors makes it possible to pair her with almost any other cosmetics.
I know many people right now are saying that Deadpool is arguably the best Fortnite skin ever, but I think it's because they're just hyped about his recent release. I mean, he's incredible and so is his set and I fancy him a lot, yet not as much as the number one skin on this list.
1: John Wick
The release of John Wick was a dream come true, not just for me but for every other player who missed having the Reaper skin from the season 3 Battle Pass. Well, I'm not putting Keanu Reeves in the first spot just because he's a stunning character, but also as a skin, he's clean, his suite is amazing and his wrap, the Boogeyman, is the best in the game.
