How to Play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on Mobile

I've played Yu-Gi-Oh since LOB and ran insect lockdown for years. Now I run Evil Eyes primarily.

Want to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on mobile?

So, you want to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, but you don't want to sit in front of your PC/laptop/Mac? While it is true that the game hasn't officially released for mobile yet, I have quite the news for you! With the following steps you'll be able to play the critically acclaimed digital TCG Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on your mobile device wherever you may be!

I only suggest maintaining either an active wifi connection or an unlimited mobile data plan, as with any mobile gaming, as this method and the game can eat up quite a bit of network traffic.

Step 1.: Steam setup

Make sure to install Steam and sign up for a Steam account if you don't already have one. You can do both of those things at this link here.

If you already have a Steam account and have the app installed on your machine, go ahead and move to the next step!

Step 2.: Installation

Install Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel through the Steam app. This may take some time, depending upon the strength and speed of your internet connection.

If you've already been playing on PC then you can skip to the next step.

Step 3.: Remote play setup

Install the Steam Link app on your Android or iOS device. This may be downloaded in the Google Play Store for Android devices at this link or at the Apple App Store for iOS devices right here If you've already been using the Steam Link app on your device, go ahead and move to the next step!

Step 5.: Set Steam options

Ensure that you are actively logged into Steam on the PC that you wish to use to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Click the "Steam" tab on the upper left and go to the option named "settings."

Here you will want to click the option named "remote play" and ensure that the mobile device you plan to use is listed and paired. It will look something like this:

Scroll to Continue

Step 6.: Set remote options

Open the Steam Link app on your mobile device and click the gear in the upper right of the screen, and then click the spot listed "Computer" and make sure the computer you plan to use is listed.

Step 7.: Launch and set controller

Click "start playing" on the Steam Link app and you should be met with a screen a bit like this:

Click the 3 dots in the upper left and you'll be shown this menu:

I personally suggest using the "direct cursor" mouse option, which makes it very similar to other mobile titles, though the other mouse options work quite well too! Touch controller isn't very good for this setup, though you *can* use a Bluetooth controller for that classic feel!

Step 8.: Trouble finding the game?

Make sure to uncheck the box labeled "Remote Play Optimized" on the right-hand side of the screen. This will ensure that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel shows up in your list, as it is not yet optimized for mobile play (this is no big deal as it was designed with mobile devices in mind!).

Step 9.: It's time to duel!

Enjoy playing 2022's hottest digital TCG on the go!
