Kingdoms At War (KAW) Guide, Quests and Crystal/Nobility Drops

Introduction

(For those of you just looking for specific quest information please scroll down to the table at the bottom)

The Quest section of Kingdoms At War has remained largely unchanged for the entire time the game has been available for download. This really stands out when looking at the gold you are rewarded for completing the quests. The figures are really low when you consider you could earn so much more doing Epic Battle item phases.

Quests for Crystals, Nobility and Achievements

That said quests are still useful for two (possibly 3 depending on your outlook on game completion) reasons.

First the quests offer crystals as a bonus at fixed points; these crystals are used for regenerating your troops and spies which is very useful using them on other players or Epic Battles can earn you a lot of extra money. The only other source of crystals is to purchase them and if you only bought one at a time it is going to cost you just under a dollar for the privilege. Crystals have been dropped from quests randomly but the drop rate is so small it has not been successfully measured by players.

Second every time you successfully complete a quest there is small chance that you will receive a nobility point. Various players have run tests to determine the probability of a nobility award with varying figures from 0.73% up to 2%. The generally accepted figure is a 1% approximate drop rate. Nobility points can be used for a number of in game actions. You can buy propacks, change your name regenerate your troops or exchange the points directly for gold.

Lastly quest completion does provide you with an achievement for quest mastery. Getting the achievement gives no bonus to your account unlike some of the other achievements.

Resetting Quests

Until recently when players reset their accounts the quests would reset too. This meant that if players choose to do so they were able to repeat the quests as many times as they liked and build up significant stores of crystals and also generate free nobility. The game developers have now altered the game so that quests do not reset when a player resets their accounts. Quest nobility drop rate has not been changed.

There is no limit to the number a times a quest can be attempted.
