Candy Crush Saga is one of the most popular and fastest growing games on Facebook with more and more new players signing up to play every day.

The game involves matching three or more items of candy to clear them off of the board scoring you points.

As the levels progress you have to match more and more candies to break up jelly or to move ingredients down to the bottom of the screen and off the board.

Apart from being addictive Candy Crush Saga also tests your brain as you have you play tactically to clear each level in a set number of moves.

Sometimes you can earn power ups to help you through the more difficult levels but those are used up quickly if you happen to get stuck on a more difficult level.

Of course as with any Facebook game if you use up all of your power ups or lives you can have the option to pay for more which is how the game makers make their money and Candy Crush Saga is no different.

That is the reason why the game makers give you the power up gifts from your friends before your game play begins.

As you can see from my loading screen of Candy Crush Saga, I already have a full quota of lives, the next scrren after loading will offer me more lives from my friends which I would normally lose.

The problem with friends gifting you extra lives in Candy Crush Saga is that when you log in to play the game one of the first screens that you are presented with is your gifts from friends, extra lives and power ups which you accept readily before you get to play the game.

By the time that you get to the game play screen you notice too late that you already have the maximum quota of 5 lives making your friends gifts to you totally worthless after all what good is an extra life from friends when you already have the maximum that the game allows?

There is a way around this though where you can get those lives from your friends when you need them although I have to admit that it does not work every time which is probably a ploy King the makers of the game to try to get more money from you in the form of Facebook credits.

Getting The Lives Your Friends Send You In Candy Crush Saga

As I said this tip does not always work even though it really should; After you first log in to Candy Crush Saga and you get to the page where you are asked to accept your friends gifts do not accept them, instead clickon the X at the top of the screen and bypass the acceptance screen. after that go on and play the game until you have no more lives left to play.

When you have run out of lives log back out of the game and then wait for around 5 minutes then log back in if it has worked those lives that your friends sent you that you skipped past the first time that you logged in should still be on offer and you can accept them this time around and get back to playing the game.

As I stated twice before the trick does not always work but on the occasions that it does you do get a little longer game play than you normaly would if you accepted the extra lives at the very start.

A simple ploy by the game makers to make you think that you are getting more games to play when most of the time you don't actually get to play those lives that your friends have sent to you.

Some other games on Facebook do actually add any lives that you are sent from friends even if you already have the maximum number when you log in.

The screen on those games will say something like max 5 lives +3 why can't Candy Crush Saga do the same after all if you create an addictive and fun game that people want to play you should give them the chance to keep playing?

If they offer the chance for friends to send you lives they should honor your friends wishes and give you those extra lives as an addition to the ones that you already have.
