Shamans are masters of wielding the forces of nature such as producing storms, casting life tapping magic, and summoning wild creatures. They’re also proficient in wielding any two-handed weapons to brutally crush their foes with ferocious strength.

Note: Recommended Devotions are not in order. Meaning, it is up to you what constellation you should learn first. Just in case you don’t know, devotion points can also be re-assign in order to meet certain requirements.

When it comes to gear components, resistance to different damage types should be the priority for your character to survive on higher difficulty.

1. Bleeding Pet Ritualist (Shaman + Necromancer)

Summoner type build that is also proficient in making foes bleed to death. Your main pet in this build is Summon Briarthorn that is good in handling mobs alone since its capable of retaliation. Of course, this pet build is also aided by Blight Fiend and several skeletons.

Attributes

Put points on cunning since your main damage type is bleeding. Then a lot of points in physique so that you won’t die easily.

By the way, only invest on spirit if you are planning to wear caster off-hand.

  • Mastery bar (50 points)
  • Summon Briarthorn (16 points) – Ground Slam (12 points) – Emboldening Presence (12 points)

  • Raven
  • Empty Throne

  • Staff of Ratosh
  • Behemoth
  • Mogdrogen the Wolf

Note: Put the remaining devotion points on Lion.

Equipment Priorities

Wear items that grant bonuses to your pets, especially the all-damage and different resistance.

How to play?

Your main pet Briarthorn is the point man here. It should have an aggressive behavior so that it can take as many enemies as possible, while your other pets and you can freely hit with less worry. One good thing about this build is that, it doesn’t rely on its summons alone for damage. Devouring Swarm and Grasping Vines can also deal serious bleeding damage to group of enemies.

Finally, don’t forget that you have Wendigo Totem to support both yourself and your pets.

2. Bleeding Pet Conjurer (Shaman + Occultist)

A variant of Bleeding Pet build. Summon Briarthorn is still your main pet in this build and is aided by Summon Familiar and Summon Hellhound.

Attributes

Same as Bleeding Pet Ritualist.

  • Wendigo Totem (12 points) – Blood Pact (12 points)

Equipment Priorities

Same as Bleeding Pet Ritualist.

How to play?

Just like Bleeding Pet Ritualist, Briarthorn will still take the point. So make sure you set its behavior to aggressive. Then let your Familiar and Hellhound aid Briarthorn in dealing damage. As usual, you can also attack using Devouring Swarm and Grasping Vines, or weaken them first with Curse of Frailty.

3. Bleeding Warder (Shaman + Soldier)

I consider this shaman build as the most brutal and ferocious one. Bleeding Warder can deal massive amount of bleeding damage by wielding a weapon called The Guillotine and using transmuted version of Blade Arc.

Attributes

Majority of you attribute points should be put on physique so that you can go toe to toe with multiple enemies in melee fight. Also put enough points on cunning to increase your bleeding damage and chance to land critical hit.

To wear high level jewelries, don’t forget to put very little points in spirit, just enough for the requirements.

  • Mastery bar (50 points)
  • Brute Force (1 point) – Feral Hunger (10 points) – Upheaval (10 points)
  • Savagery (16 points) – Might of the Bear (3 points) – Tenacity of the Boar (12 points)

  • Mogdrogen the Wolf

Equipment Priorities

Recommended weapon is a legendary two-handed axe called The Guillotine or Mythical The Guillotine for higher levels, then attach a Seal of Blades component to it. In case you haven’t find any The Guillotine item yet, any two-handed axes that increases your bleeding damage will do.

The main damage of this build is bleeding. So equip items that increases the mentioned damage type.

How to play?

Be the first to initiate the battle using Blitz, then quickly swipe them with your transmuted Blade Arc.

While Blade Arc is on cooldown, you can still continuously attack your target with Savagery. The skill can make your next Blade Arc deadlier than your previous swipe.

4. Bleeding Trickster (Shaman + Nightblade)

Always summon Blade Spirit whenever the skill is available to use. When your are ready to attack, use Shadow Strike to easily fill the gap between you and your target. Once in melee range, use Primal Strike whenever it is available or Savagery when all your other attack skills is on cooldown.

When in great danger, immediately use Blade Barrier to protect your character from damages.

5. Thunder Warder (Shaman + Soldier)

Also known as Thor because of the build’sconnection with lightning and being a melee fighter.

Attributes

Cunning is your first priority until you have enough offensive ability to often land critical hits. Then put points on spirit too since you are dealing lightning damage.

  • Rhowan’s Crown
  • Spear of the Heavens

Equipment Priorities

Equip items that can increase your lightning and electrocute damage.

For weapons, you should be equipping two-handed to gain bonuses from Kraken, Brute Force, and Upheaval.

If you are planning to wear a set items, I highly recommend Ultos’ Storm.

How to play?

Start the fight by using Blitz, then continuously attack your opponents with Savagery and let your celestial powers proc itself. Simple as that.

6. Storm Druid (Shaman + Arcanist)

A caster type build that can summon auto target storms, wide area freezes, and huge shards from above.

Attributes

Spirit is your main attribute so that you can equip the best caster off-hand in the game. Invest on cunning also since the build is relying on critical hits to proc celestial powers. Put the rest on physique after.

Since this is a caster build, wearing caster off-hand is required.

Equipment that grants bonuses to lightning, cold, electrocute, and frostburn should be your priority.

How to play?

Always cast Storm Totem and Wind Devil whenever it is available. This will grant you multiple of those summons in the field, enough to take down mobs and elites in no time while you are moving.

Trozan Sky Shard is usually used to take down tougher opponents.

To delay multiple enemies approaching you, use Olexra’s Flash Freeze to disable them.

7. Thunder Gunner Elementalist (Shaman + Demolitionist)

Two-handed ranged attacker that can also deploy auto target skills.

Attributes

Put points on cunning first to wear the best two-handed ranged weapons in the game. It will also let you land critical hit often which is important to proc your celestial powers.

Spirit is also important to increase your lightning damage more.

But do not forget to also invest on physique so that you have higher chance of survival.

  • Bard’s Harp

Equipment Priorities

Raka’Jax or Mythical Raka’Jax is the weapon that I highly recommend here. But if you cannot find one, any two-handed ranged weapon that grants bonuses to lightning damage will do. This also applies in your other equipment as well.

How to play?

Plant all your auto target skills first (Wind Devil, Storm Totem, Mortar Trap).

Your normal attack will be Primal Strike that is transmuted to Thunderous Strike.

When there are dangerous approaching mobs, you can disable them with flashbang.

8. Thunder Gunner Vindicator

This Thunder Gunner alternative may not have mortars or flashbangs, but it can deal better critical damage with Deadly Aim. It can also heal itself and any surrounding allies with Word of Renewal.

Attributes

Same as Thunder Gunner Elementalist.

Shaman Skills

  • Mastery bar (50 points)
  • Savagery (16 points) – Might of the Bear (3 points) – Tenacity of the Boar (12 points) – Storm Touched (12 points)

Just like its counterpart, plant your Wind Devil and Storm Totem first. Hit your enemies continuously with Savagery while it also procs your celestial powers.

Don’t forget to always cast Word of Renewal to both buff and heal your character.

Basically, you just spin with Eye of Reckoning until your enemies are dead. For best results, assign the Reckless Tempest on it.

You also have a stationary Storm Totem that serves as another passive source of damage.
