How it started...

Two weeks ago the announcement trailer for The DragonBall Breakers dropped. An asymmetrical action game similar to the Friday The 13th game and Dead by Daylight. Like Friday The 13th:The Game, and Dead by Daylight, DragonBall Breaker pits eight survivors against a single raider. The objectives are simple, as the raider kills the survivors, and the survivors well… survive.

What we know so far...

In the two weeks since the game has come out with a beta, and a video explaining the game’s world and mechanics. DragonBall The Breakers is set in a distorted world mixed between past and present, as eight survivors try to flee from a raider. The object of the survivors is to escape the distorted timeline, and the raider has to prevent that from happening. Survivors have to find power keys to summon the super time machine to win the game, and can defend themselves with weapon, and transformation abilities. One of which allows them to use the powers of warriors like Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Goku, but temporarily before reverting back to normal.

The raider meanwhile has transformations that make him stronger and allowed to do more damage to the survivors and the battle field. As destroying all the survivors or power keys will allow the raider to win. You can also collect the dragon balls to summon Shenron to grant you a wish of increase your power or the power of other survivors. The raider can also the dragon balls to recover stamina or increase his strength.

The Conclusion...

As you can tell this game has a lot of moving parts, but is probably easier in execution than the video explained. Regardless, this game sounds like a blast. And with it being different from the usual action, fighting game, or action-rag games fans are used to, it might do well.

DragonBall The Breakers drops in 2022 for all current platforms with no specific date confirmed yet.
