Druid is a versatile class that can be played either as a fighter with his shapeshifting skills, as a spellcaster by casting nature based spells, or as a summoner by calling different kinds of beast. You can also combine some of his skills based on your preferred play style, limited only by your available skill points.

1. Wind Druid Build

A caster type Druid that is capable of dealing cold and physical damage. It has an advantage over Hell difficulty where you will encounter enemies that has immunity to specific type of damage. The 4 wind skills in Druid's arsenal provides synergy to each other so all of them should be maxed out.


Skills

  • Hurricane (Max): Surrounds your character with a Hurricane that periodically deals cold damage to enemies within radius. Make sure this is always active for maximum damage output.
  • Tornado (Max): The skill that you're usually going to spam. It deals physical damage. Tornado is most effective if aimed past the enemy.
  • Twister (Max): Can stun enemies. Use this for crowd controlling. Like Tornado, it should be aimed past the enemy to be effective.
  • Cyclone Armor (Max): Druid will be surrounded by streak that absorbs damage. Recast this skill when all the streak is consumed.
  • Summon Grizzly (Max): This will serve as your meat shield that will take the frontlines for you.

Place your remaining skill points on below Summoning Skills. It's up to you on how you're going to distribute it.

  • Oak Sage: Will increase the life of your party.
  • Solar Creeper: It has 2 functionalities. First is that it provides mana to this mana hungry build. Second is that it can prevent corpses from being revived.


Stat Points Distribution

  • Strength: For gear requirement only. Avoid putting more points.
  • Dexterity: Put points until you get the max block. This build is wearing a shield.
  • Vitality: All of the remaining points should go here.
  • Energy: Optional since mana potions, equipment, and Solar Creeper can replenish you mana.


Recommended Equipment Attributes

  • Mace with Heart of the Oak rune word (Ko, Vex, Pul, Thul)
  • Shield with Spirit rune word (Tal, Thul, Ort, Amn)
  • Body armor with Enigma rune word (Jah, Ith, Ber): Grants level 1 Teleport skill.
  • Plus to Cold damage
  • Faster cast rate
  • Enhanced defense
  • Increase attack rating
  • Mana stolen per hit
  • Life stolen per hit
  • Increase maximum life
  • Increase maximum mana
  • Increase all attributes

2. Fire Druid Build

Fire Druid can cast wide variety of fire summons that is specifically more effective on a certain situations. What's good about these skills is that most provide synergy to each other.


Skills

  • Firestorm (Max): Release a trail of fire that seems to be random but is actually seeking enemies. This is your first fire skill available at level 1.
  • Molten Boulder (Max): Cast a rolling boulder in a straight line that leaves a burning trail dealing continuous fire damage.
  • Fissure (Max): Deals very high continuous damage in an area for about 3.2 seconds. Good for monsters that typically stays in place.
  • Volcano (Max): Works the same way where it deals high continuous damage in an area. The difference is, Volcano is much more concentrated and also deals physical damage. This is good for enemies that is immune to physical.
  • Armageddon (Max): The ultimate fire skill of Druid. Multiple meteors fall from the sky and deals tremendous damage. The only problem of using this Armageddon is that you need to time it correctly in order to hit the enemy. Luring in place also works.
  • Cyclone Armor (Remaining points): Surrounds you with streaks that can absorb damage.


Stat Points Distribution

  • Strength: For gear requirement only. Avoid putting more points.
  • Dexterity: Put points until you get the max block. This build is wearing a shield.
  • Vitality: All of the remaining points should go here.
  • Energy: Put some points if you prefer.


Recommended Equipment Attributes

  • Mace with Heart of the Oak rune word (Ko, Vex, Pul, Thul)

For dealing with monsters that is immune to fire damage, you should hire an Act 2 Desert Mercenary and give it a polearm with Infinity Rune Word (Ber, Mal, Ber, Ist).

3. Beastmaster Build

A summoner type Druid that puts all of its skill points on Summoning Skills. The play style of this build is to overwhelm its enemies with numbers. Your army will deal the whole damage for you while your Druid is the commander equipped with gear that increases its survival rate.


Skills

  • Raven (9 point): Your first summon that is already available on level 1. It may not be the most powerful summon but it has a chance to blind an enemy which is very useful. You can summon a maximum number of 5 ravens. They don't die but they have limited number of hits which you'll be needing to re-summon it again.
  • Summon Spirit Wolf (Max): Your early level main frontline. Spirit wolves is always on offensive and can instantly teleport even on obstacles. There will be situations wherein you won't notice the enemy alive anymore since the spirit wolves already finished them. Although you'll be replacing this with a more powerful Summon Dire Wolf on endgame, you still need to max this as it gives synergy to the mentioned skill and to Summon Grizzly. You can summon a maximum number of 5 spirit wolves.
  • Summon Dire Wolf (Max): This is going to be your endgame wolf that deals more damage and has more life. Although you can only summon a maxium of 3 dire wolves, it's still more effective than 5 spirit wolves or even a single grizzly bear when it comes to dealing with enemies.
  • Summon Grizzly (Max): The main muscle in your army. Grizzly will serve as your main tank and can also deal huge damage.
  • Poison Creeper (Max): Will soften up your enemies by continuously spreading poison on them. This is also useful in dealing damage to enemies who are immune to physical damage.
  • Heart of Wolverine (Max): Gives an aura to the whole party increasing their damage and attack rating. It basically buffs up and multiply the overall damage per second of your whole army.


Stat Points Distribution

  • Strength: Place points until gear requirement is met.
  • Dexterity: Place points until you reach the max block with your shield.
  • Vitality: All of the remaining points should go here.
  • Energy: There's no need to place points here.


Recommended Equipment Attributes

  • One hand weapon with Call to Arms rune word (Amn, Ral, Mal, Ist, Ohm): The Call to Arms rune word grants Battle Command, Battle Orders, and Battle Cry.
  • Shield with Spirit rune word (Tal, Thul, Ort, Amn)
  • Body armor with Enigma rune word (Jah, Ith, Ber): Grants level 1 Teleport skill.
  • Faster cast rate
  • Enhanced defense
  • Mana stolen per hit
  • Life stolen per hit
  • Increase maximum life
  • Increase maximum mana
  • Increase all attributes
  • Increase all skills
  • Increase all resistance
  • Faster Run/Walk
  • Cannot be frozen

You should also pick up an Act 2 Desert Mercenary with Might Aura. This will make your summoned pets deal even more damage.


4. Fury Werewolf Build

The ultimate well rounded fighter type of Druid. This build has huge amount of life, deals large damage, and has high attack speed. As the name implies, this build focuses on its werewolf form, and is also accompanied with its summoned beast.


Skills

  • Werewolf (Max): Your first priority and core skill of the build, that is already available at level 1. The skill transforms you into a werewolf increasing your Druid's attack speed and attack rating.
  • Fury (Max): The main damage dealing ability. It deals large damage in multiple quick succession.
  • Lycanthropy (Max): The most important passive skill for shapeshifting builds. It basically increases the maximum life while in shapeshifted form, not to mention it increases the duration of being shapeshifted too.
  • Heart of Wolverine (Max): Increases the damage capability of your Druid including its summoned beast.
  • Summon Dire Wolf (Max): Can serve as both distraction and damage dealers.

For your remaining skill points, it's up to you on how to distribute it on below skills:

  • Summon Grizzly: You can have a pet that can tank for you even for just a single point on grizzly.
  • Poison Creeper: For softening and dealing damage with physical immune monsters.


Stat Points Distribution

  • Strength: Place points until gear requirement is met.
  • Dexterity: Place points until gear requirement is met. Put more if planning to use a shield until max block is attained.
  • Vitality: All of the remaining points should go here. You need as much life you can get to maximize the benefit of Lycanthropy.
  • Energy: There's no need to place points here.


Recommended Equipment Attributes

  • Weapon with Breath of the Dying rune word (Vex, Hel, El, Eld, Zod, Eth)
  • Body armor with Fortitude rune word (El, Sol, Dol, Lo)
  • Faster cast rate
  • Enhanced damage
  • Enhanced defense
  • Increase attack rating
  • Life stolen per hit
  • Increase maximum life
  • Increase maximum mana
  • Increase all attributes
  • Increase all skills
  • Increase all resistance

5. Maul Werebear Build

This is a brute type of build that gets stronger as it continuously strike its enemies. It is also accompanied by a grizzly bear that serves as another brute that can distract foes, and take some damage.


Skills

  • Werebear (Max): This is the core skill of the build letting Druid transform into a werebear. Shapeshifting into a werebear grants increase damage and defense.
  • Maul (Max): The primary damage dealing skill. The damage of this skill gets stronger as you continuously hit an enemy. It can also stun your target.
  • Lycanthropy (Max): Makes Druid in shapeshifted form tougher and more sustainable by increasing the shapeshifted form duration.
  • Heart of Wolverine (Max): Summoning this will increase the damage of you and your grizzly bear.
  • Summon Grizzly (Max): This is going to be your main companion that will be with you on the frontline.
  • Summon Dire Wolf (Remaining skill points): It doesn't hurt summoning 3 more companions to assist you in battle. This skill also provides synergy to Summon Grizzly and also receives one from it.

Same as Fury Werewolf Build.

Same as Fury Werewolf Build.
