Will Cyberpunk 2077 Leave The Xbox Store? Let's Find Out.

The fuss around the highly anticipated game of Cyberpunk 2077 would seem not to stop, even more so after the decision by Sony, taken in common agreement with the Polish software house, to temporarily remove the digital version of the game from the PlayStation Store.

At this point the question arises, will the same happen on the Xbox Store? At the moment, although the open-world action RPG is plagued by several critical issues on consoles, the situation on the peripherals of the Redmond house would be slightly possible, not having to force the US giant to remove it.

Further confirmation that, at least for the moment, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S users can sleep peacefully as communicated to Reuters by Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt RED, who would have confirmed that for now there has been no discussion with Microsoft on the matter. You can find the tweet below about the discussion.

Clearly this is a rather delicate situation and that could evolve in the next few hours, but we would like to point out that already on Monday 21 December, as reported by an internal GameStop memo, the development team should release a new corrective patch (version 1.05) that will correct the main bugs of the much-criticized open-world RPG by CD Projekt RED.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for purchase on PlayStation 4 (temporarily only in physical format), Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia and can also be safely played on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S thanks to backward compatibility. Only shortly a "next-gen" version will be released that will support the features of the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft.
