Tips and strategy for Dome on survival mode in spec ops, on Call Of Duty Modern warfare 3 , how to get far MW3

So here i will go over a strategy that will teach you how to get to a minimum of level 30 on DOME. It will go over where you should camp, to what the best setup is and what you should be carrying.

Also upon request I have created a Twitter account for Johnrr's Hubs which can be found here

Right below is a link to my other hub teaching the basics and going over which weapons should be used in survival mode, and the strategies that can be applied to ALL the maps.

The set up

So if you read my guide on survival mode in Call Of Duty you will see the classes and all the stuff that you should carry to get yourself ready to get far in the game, but if this is the first thign you have looked at i will go over everything, and sum it up real fast.

First off, Light machine guns are crucial, no other weapon will be as good, as using a light machine gun, they have large clips, and as far as replenishing ammo you will get biggest bang for you buck. Turrets are very important and if you can get grenade turret over a regular one tat is better.

Keeping a quick revive is very important in survival mode, along with flash bangs, and a riot shield squad.

The strategy

The benefit of dome on survival mode is that you can easily run in a circle at later points if the juggernauts are forcing you to move, but if you save money, don't waste it, and can manage to keep everything stocked up you should have no problem taking them out effectively and quickly.

The best place to set everything up is at the top of the hill. If you go to the top of the map, right outside where the big building is, this area is where you should spend you time. You will be camping more specifically at the big entrance to the cave ( the middle entrance that is blown out). This is right near the grenades, and right between the kill streaks, and ammo box, so this is a good place to camp. Also you will face one turret towards the building where the kill streaks and the other facing towards the paths leading from the ammo box. This will allow you to cover the brunt amount of forces, and still shoot them. Also a riot shield team is essential at higher levels as well.

When helicopters not carrying juggernauts come in, you should try to take these out at the beginnings of rounds, or as soon as they come in. They can quickly take out your back up, and turrets leaving you unguarded or helped. So make sure that you take these out fast and quick.

This area is fine to camp, and leaves plenty of areas for a quick escape. This will make your life a lot easier when the juggernauts come in, or when you need to escape fast. Just remember, you should always have a self revive, and to take helicopters out first. The rest willf all into place.

If you have trouble please comment, or message me and i can assist further.

I just camp at the top of the dome where the ladders are I have one sentry gun on each side and the first 3 burst gun in asaltet rifiles is good for taking out the first chopper wave and always have body armor and flashbangs and self revive and gernades and you should get to wave 20 easy but thats just strategy im not one to brag its not best the strategy but its works for me

PeacefulManiac from UK. on February 05, 2014:

I recently got addicted to Survival mode (you do a lot of killin and not much dyin) and I fancied earning the FMG so I could go AKIMBO with it, as Id had some awesome games online with it. I stayed on the platform on Dome and got to level 20 easily, but then didn't mind dying as that's not what I wanted to do, it was the quickest way for me to get to rank 37 for my gun. (I like running around like a lunatic normally)...only to find...shock horror....that AKIMBO wasn't there in the FMG9 upgrade list!!!!!! Am I missing something? is there a way to scroll down that list or is it not available. Ive trawled the net, but no-one seems to have talked about this.

@FENIX You are not the first person to camp by the "Dome" but keep in mind the whole moving stuff inside within a round could be a little tough, you're better off just buying new stuff once the round is over..

Wraith on May 28, 2013:

FENIX, do you mean set up in the bunker (where the equipment/explosives are), the yellow-ish building with the dome on it (the one with the weapons box and the ladders on it), or setting up between the two? I just found your comment a little confusing.

FENIX on May 25, 2013:

no offense but your strategies not that good try camping in the room you start off in near the ladders im talking about the side closest to the grenades and self revive once you have the money you can set up whatever you want sentries claymores c4 everything and when juggernauts show up you can stun them and your turrets will take them out eventually and if the helicopters show up you move everything inside the building with the ammo considering your camped right beside it!

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on May 24, 2013:

If you are going to run and gun, you need the mobility of a sub machine gun, and a lmg for turn firing.. I like that set up, but it's not like zombies running and gunning considering people can actually shoot back hahaha..

Wraith on May 22, 2013:

I recently tried a run-and-gun style strategy on Dome. (Solo, of course. I haven't really done much in the way of co-op survival.) The start is the top of the hill by the shipping containers. Your best bet for 'bought' weapons would probably be using a combination of P90, FMG-9, L86, and/or MG36. (I prefer the P90 and FMG-9, at least until relatively high waves, because they are light, have high rates of fire, lots of ammo (more than 350 rounds each), and fast reloads.) I managed to get pretty far with the P90/FMG combo, managing to make it to somewhere around wave 24 (I think...). The (slight, almost negligible) downside is that you pretty much have to buy more ammo between each wave, and sometimes during waves (usually the juggernaut ones).

Thanks and glad it helps :)

Okay thanks a lot! And I love your hub! Helps me and my dad out a lot

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on March 31, 2013:

Yes MW4 is real, I have posted a video about it on my youtube.. Not a lot of details out yet, but it is confirmed.. release trailer should be out soon.

Survival lover on March 22, 2013:

Me and my dad made it to wave 57 setting up between the ammo and the grenade armory. Put 2 senteries by the forklift covering the front and the grenade room. We had to run on every juggernaut wave after 39 and we get inside the grenade armory room when it's helicopters...claymores really help and self revives are a must! We tried your strategy also it worked very well but we really like our spot! And do u know anything about modern warfare 4? Is it even real? Thanks

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on October 24, 2012:

I mean, my strategy is not meant for 50+.. then by that point you should find a personal strategy that works for you. This strategy is merely there to help those who have trouble on 1-20... beyond that you will find out what works best..

alfdjdals on October 23, 2012:

your advise sucks, go down to the right side of the dome, but two gernade guns and have two riot teams, buy LMGs, use C4 to kill juggs. take your senetry guns inside when there is helicoptors. 50+

p.s. post up nest to the crates, creates a barrier and you don't get hurt as much

Sydx147 on September 05, 2012:

Hi Guys

I've come up with a really good theory.

I think important events happen at waves that are a multiple of 3 but only after wave 3.

Wave 6: Chopper

Wave 9: Jugg

Wave 12:Jugg

Wave 15: Chopper

Wave 18: Jugg

Wave 21: Jugg

Wave 24: Chopper

I hope you see the pattern.

I try not to buy anything until wave 18. I camp at the top of the Dome (two players)

Equipment that I always have.

C4 (Placed below the Dome steps on each side)

Missile ( Kill Juggernauts and Choppers)

Flash Bang (Buys me extra time)

Body Armour( I would recommend this at waves 18 and above. It will increase your chances of staying alive)

Sentry Gun (Placed on top of the dome)

Riot Squad ( 2 sets. They usually operate below the dome. The sentry supports them)

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 30, 2012:

Ill try this later and figure what's on 33, I assume its juggs/helicopters/and troops.. If so, try to take the helicopters out first, while circling the map and keeping everyone behind you. After you kill the helicopters, then you can slowly lay into the people coming at you until the end of the round. Just stick with it, and eventually you will get it.

hadi on August 30, 2012:

i use another strategy and its not so bad

but i stuck in wave 33

iv played dome several times and every time in wave 33 i plan a new strategy and always i fail

cam u help me

or have u got further wave 33?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on August 11, 2012:

Wew, you always take helicopters out as they come in. If two players are shooting at them, it is very easy, if only 1, then you can still take them out in a half of LMG clip, while your teammate is defending. Yes they can hurt you, but when you operate this strategy correctly everything tends to fall into place.

Wew on August 10, 2012:

I Appreciate the Strategies, Their really good however I do not prefer the Camping spot, What if a helicopter comes? Even if you need to take them down, Tons of enemies will also appear,

twisted d3mon6 on August 09, 2012:

My friend And I just got to level 39 by camping in the dome with acr's and a light machine gun and we were using riot squad and self revive and air really well

W 27 is 3 JUGS ... reminder.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on June 10, 2012:

Arkantos any map for the first lets say 15 rounds is a good farming map for turrets... BUT.. After that, turrets are just an assistance, and you must do all the work.

Dick on June 10, 2012:

Finally, played with a good team member, and we got up to 33 Waves...

Arkantos on June 09, 2012:

What is your favorite map to just turret farm? Is there a map with a really good spot better than others?

Dick on May 30, 2012:

This W24 is pretty hard... and this time I fumbed and hit B instead before I had time to deploy my C4 and Clays at the beginning of the wave... so it started without them.. and the damn dogs got me again... (I had also called a riot squad which didn't last 2 seconds.. LOL... Maybe I need some turrets inside to help me give time to shoot a missile against at least 1 JUG or a chopper

Dick on May 28, 2012:

Wow, I got to 24 again.. but didn'nt read my own advice... forgot about the 3 choppers (thought they were delivering JUGS... so went up in the open..! Choppers are not a good thing to be in the open.. LOL... But surprised to see a dog come up while i was trying to revice while 3 choppers were shooting at me... so hmmm. flyine dogs now? LOL. Maybe here is where i would need turrets to thin out the enemies... but it's getting crazy all alone trying to shop for all these in a hurry...

Dick on May 28, 2012:

On many of the early (9 & 12) JUG rounds, I have tried staying up there and putting 5 C4s at the bottom of the ladder and it kills them -- keeps the dogs away too... LOL. On W12, the second JUG comes up the ladder and while I stay proned, I am able to kill him using my LMG aimed straight to his head... it even worked on Round 21... but there are 3 JUGS here... so I have not survived this yet.... I use a Missile first, and if the second one is a regular, then shooting to the head worked but then the shielded one is up already on the catwalk, so I tried a flash but then there were still other enemies up there I died... LOL I didn't want to jump off yet while the dogs were still hanging around at the bottom...

Dick on May 28, 2012:

Thanks John, my pleasure really.

BTW, wave 21 is where 3 JUGS come in 2 Shields and 1 regular... my Missile didn't didn't kill the Initial JUG (w/Shield) maybe try the one without the shield closer to the middle outside the dome... or better to aim at the one by the normal entrance by the cave side... Use a flash as they come in... to buy time... but watch the dogs... maybe the C4 are really important...

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on May 24, 2012:

WOW. That's a lot of effort and work. Thanks for the time writing, and ill try your methods out, and let you know what I think.

Dick on May 24, 2012:

OK, my strategy worked on Wave 18...

Wave 19 & 20 I went back up and camped again on the catwalk... I had a predator missile, but before buying it I called a riot squad to help me... they survived only 2 rounds... LOL (notice I haven't bothered with Turrets... I am finding it hard to protect them and they are getting destroyed way to easily... I'd rather kill the enemies with my guns... also they block my view; plus trying to keep an eye on them is getting too distracting for me... causing enemies from other sides to come too close to me or getting to me... so, so far, no turrets for me...

Wave 21 (or 22 can't remember), again Claymored around the Dome entrances, and a few C4 at the one entrance... I started by downing one of the JUGS w/missile right off the bat, then killed a few more enemies inside until I saw the other JUGS appear at the entrances, so I run out towards the back of the Air Support building near the containers at the loading dock... (I like this area)... I wait at the top of the stairs and finish a few more of the enemies coming towards me, all the while keeping an eye on the JUG(s)... then I run in, and if I have time I'll buy a Missile, otherwise I keep circling around (going out the front door) and come back later to buy another missile... there are 3 JUGS this round, so a lot of circling... On the last one, I dropped 5 C4 at the entrance of the back corridor entrance of the Air Support Building and stayed back enough (into the other room) and watched him around the corner to come in with his shield then double X'ed to detonate the C4s and killed him... On my way out from the front, I bought another Missile (for future use).. went through the cave and filled up a Revive, Clays, and C4, etc. and then went up to my catwalk...

Wave 22 & 23.. the enemies got harder to kill so LMG were handy with the sleigh of hand... and no hesitation please... keep pumping at them... Also filled up between the rounds...

Wave 24... I didn't know what to expect, so I hesitated... then realized there are more Choppers (3?) and dogs, heavily armoured enemies, suicide and chemical bombers, all start coming in... so I moved back into the DOME... sprinkled Clays around the doors as fast as I could -- maybe not enough... and waited for them to come... but got overwhelmed.... Maybe I should have had an AIR Stike or used the predator missile to kill some of the enemies outside before they got in... Oh well... Or, maybe I should have downed a Chopper w/missile so it would be easier to run around...

So I am afraid Wave 24 was it so far, LOL... Good Luck

Dick on May 23, 2012:

OK... I am finding this harder on SOLO than BAKAARA... LOL. Anyway, I just reached Wave 18... here is how:

Wave 1: I go up the ladder (closer to the cave entrance where the Equipment Box is) to the ledge around the outside of the dome. I prone facing the ladder with my revolver and start taking Head Shots (patiently). On a good round, I get $3,500 to $4,000.

Wave 2: I make sure I collect a shotgun and all the ammo I can. I still use my revolver and shoot as many enemies on the head as they come up...

Wave 3: same as 2... nice thing is all the dogs stay below... and I leave them to the end... By now I have $10 to $12,000... so I go down and collect as many shotgun amos and buy a LNG + Scope and Grip.

Wave 4 & 5: Back at the top...and using my shotgun I take out all the machine gun enemies... After round 4 I pick up their M5 and ammos from up and down the place... by the end I may have enough to buy my second LMG, if not no problem... next few rounds

Wave 6: 2 Choppers and some enemies come... I go inside the dome near the Ammo box and wait for the few enemies to come and I take them out... then the 2 choppers using the LMG.

Wave 7: I go back up the ladder and kill as many enemies as possible making as much cash as possible...

Wave 8: I make sure I get some claymores and Flashbangs and an armor...

Wave 9: A Jug and a few enemies will come, so I go into the dome and put a few claymores facing the entrance close to where my ladder is... and go back a bit and wait for enemies and jug to come in... I kill as many enemies then rum out the other door up towards the entrance/steps to the Air Support and wait for any remaining enemies to come and the JUG... I'll throw a flash and take out the JUG... then buy a Missile, refill ammo and run up the ladder and camp at the top...

Wave 10 & 11: normal enemies... but need a lot of bullets with the LMG to kill them as they come up the ladder... sometimes you can pick them off before they come up buy shooting them through the grate... always leave dogs to the end... reload between rounds, and make sure you get more Clays too. And if you need self-revive, make sure you always have one, specially before the jug rounds...

Wave 12: A Jug and a Riot Jug... make sure you have the Missile from before... so again put a few clays at one entrance and as soon as the round stars be inside by the ammo box and shoot a missile onto one of the jugs coming down from the chopper -- preferably the one with the riot shield. Then kill some enemies then run out the door away from the other jug... while running kill off any remaining enemies then tackle the JUG with a Flash and LMG... you might actually need a Revive, but your revolver should be able to take him out if you keep aiming to the head... If you end up near the Air Support box, buy another Missile at the end, and refill ammo, if you have time, otherwise wait.. Then run up the ladder again...

Wave 13 & 14: Stay up there and kill them as they come up -- careful of the chemical bomb carriers.... and shoot them before they come too close.

Wave 15: Refill Ammo... and put a few claymores by the entrances... NO JUGS on this round but 2 helicopters hovering outside.. so stay in the dome and take out any dogs, bomb squads, etc... from your position near the ammo box... then use the LMG and take out the choppers... Refill and buy claymores and flashes..(you still have the Missile...)

Wave 16 & 17: Be up there again and kill as many Enemies coming up.. watch out the chemical bombs..

Wave 18: Back inside the Dome... Jugs, dogs, and enemies coming again... so make sure you put as many claymores at the entrances and go near the ammo box and shoot a missile to one of the JUGS coming down a chopper... STAY and wait for more enemies to come in... and kill as many as possible... take note where the other chopper drops off the JUG and as it gets closer try throwing a flash to slow him down and kill any more enemies coming at you... then run out if you need to and go in cirlces... and try to take him out again....

Alas... I haven't yet experienced success at this level... I'll keep trying. Good Luck.

Yes the helper teammates like delta/riot are not that bright as I said in my other post that you commented on. I also wish there were some other upgrades you could get that would make things a lot different playing wise.

i wish you could by a tactical knife with your pistol or upgrads for the pitols like akimbo. or telling your guys to stay in one spot. so i could just keep a spot fortifid and no one follows me to their death or jump in front of the turrets. beside those changes i'd made the rest of the game is good

Helicopters take you out way to easily up there, and you can get stuck and easily die.

Thanks for commenting Bowtie, I feel that level 105 is an awful lot for solo, but may be possible. Either way, I don't know what you mean by creating a website to help apply out on games. If you be a little more specific I may be able to help you.

Hey how do u make a website to help apply out on games and stuff

BOWTIE12 on April 16, 2012:

Hey guys I got a good stratedgy. All u got to do is when u reach a high enough lvl. get riot shield sqauds an us them use 2 turrents both different types just in case then u get some claymorez and set them down for traps and set them in different areas make sure u got two good guns and self revive and a couple grenades and flashbangs and a predator missle. Those are the steps set the tuuret back to back protect them while u run around the map this works on any map. Ok so u run around the map killing whoever gets in ur way and I got to lvl. 105 all by myself u guys should try this. Lol

i say stay at the top rim with a body place a claaymore at he top are of both stairs and a turrent ant the bottom or at the top what ever you chose and get some light machine guns then when a hele come take the turents bring them in side take out the hele (or with a predetor) and then go back me and my friend got to 57 with this stragety

This all depends on the HUB, Earnings per month is tough because your views fluctuate daily.. But some hubs earn only a couple bucks a month, others earn upwards of twenty a month. just depends on where Google ranks my hub on a daily basis. Keep in mind that even my best hubs took months before they got the rankings on Google they have now.

Could work, Personally I don't mind the dome strategy, and I believe on my solo play map that is what I tell everyone to do, but for team play I don't like the strategy as much, as i find there are better places to go.

u should go in the dome, turrets on one entrance, players and riot shield squad on another

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 19, 2012:

That can be a good strategy, but at late rounds you will have a lot of trouble with this strategy, so just be careful.

yodylan33 on February 19, 2012:

Johnrr great advice, my strategy for dome is camping in the building with the equipment armory but i focus all my firepower to the north entrance (the way pointing to the small building with the weapons armory in it) do you think it is a good strategy?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 16, 2012:

All fine and dandy until the rounds when helicopers come along with troops, and you get stuck on the catwalk, and helicopters take you out.... I don't suggest the catwalk in later rounds as it usually screws you.

Shifty on February 16, 2012:

I did catwalk with friend and u lie down and u can see them climbing ladder. We also knifed them when they got up. I made 20k by wave 10

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 10, 2012:

I do have a solo guide for dome, but the reason i do not like the catwalk at all is because you can get shot from anywhere where the enemy is on the map from the catwalk, and your very exposed on helicopter rounds, i honestly do not see you making it past level 30 on the catwalk.

Axisian Oceanic on February 10, 2012:

I have been playing solo and with a partner and find the catwalk around the dome to be the easiest area to camp. On higher levels i place grenade sentries behind the overturned forklift which is BEHIND the dome. One sentry faces the ladder the other covers the back of the first. That frees up player 2 to help player 1 with the enemies between the dome and the bunker. When jugs come we circle the map leading jugs past the sentries until they are weak. Then a couple shots can kill them. When choppers come one person moves sentries into the dome while the other lays claymores in openings of bunker where we wait for the enemies near the air support exit of the bunker. Choppers tend to hover at the dome because of the sentries. Once ground forces are dead you can easily kill the distracted chopperks

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 06, 2012:

Well the difference between the person spending time to reach level 80, and me writing these. Is I am getting paid every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to have these hubs published, and to write more, and with 1000+ google views a day, the income is not bad. But as far as playing until level 80, i would rather spend 5 hours write 5 hubs, and make money, than spend 5 hours playing call of duty, to try and get on the leaderboards, when in reality the top 200 people are usually glitchers or hackers, and you will not be seen anyway.

BillyBob on February 06, 2012:

"A LOT of time on his hands to reach level 80."

This coming from a guy who spent all his time writing these guides. Not that I'm dissing you, cos it's nice of you to do these and they are informative (if not always the best advice), but it's just ironic.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 06, 2012:

Well, keep in mind, if your looking up a strategy then you need help, and most people need the basics to start. This guide is aimed to get you to 30+.. I could write 60+ level guides, but those could be to complex for my general audience, so i keep them simplified.

randall on February 06, 2012:

The strategies are good for low waves (up to 30) but for anything past that they're not going to work. You are advising people to camp in an open area with a wide range of approaches. Your strategy also requires them to shoot down enemy choppers as soon as possible.

Taking out 3 enemy choppers at the start of a wave is impossible at really high waves. If taking out choppers early is part of a survival strategy then it's a low wave strategy with zero chance of being usable for someone aiming for a wave 60+ game.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 05, 2012:

Yah, whatever works best for you, i am here simply to assist those who need my help, if you think you can do a better way, i say create an account an publish it, and monetize on it, but i am simply here to help those who need the help i can give.

Thanks John for an informative article. A picture of the map and some labels would have been really great! (especially your turret locations).

It seems as though most people camp in either: (1) the dome building; (2)outside of the dilapidated uphill building near the fighter plane terminal, or (and my favorite of them all); (3)the area in between the ammo and explosive terminals.

I believe (3)is the hardest approach to follow (you can only do this split screen with a mate) but bears the most level high level (40+) potential.

-Put one grenade turret in the bottom corner next to the cave

-Put the other grenade turret behind and to the right of the forklift

(These will generate 75% of your kills minimum because they will pump out 2 high powered grenades every 3 seconds, and they are also very hard to kill at long range by the enemy - this establishes your "splash damage kill zone")

-Have player one camp behind the three square sand barriers just outside of the tunnel entrance facing the forklift

-Have player two camp behind the two square sand barriers on the other side of the forklift

The first crucial part - the location of player one will direct the way path of the AI who spawn near the underground tunnel and cars to approach your camping point from the top of the hill (i.e they run in the kill zone). They will not flank you through the tunnel.

The second crucial part - both players can sit behind their sand barriers and throw flash bangs into the kill zones. So what? Each flash bang = 3 second stun for all the enemies in the corridor (therefore each player carries 12 seconds of stun) so they are held in place while your sentries demolish them.

I have really over simplified this. Experiment yourself though.

Some more tips:

-both players use dual assault rifles with grenadier attachments

-do not buy an LMG or a striker

-keep an rpg-7 next to your camp site and equip it to shoot down machine gun choppers ASAP

-use a predator to kill the jugernaught that drops next to you

-claymores do not pack enough of a punch in the higher levels, further they take to long to lay in between rounds, and its easy to kill yourself with one inadvertently

-each player place C4 snakes where 2-5 charges are placed in relatively close proximity snaking along the kill zone (note one C4=RPG-7 damage and can knock enemies to the floor = stun) and shoot one of the charges when in trouble to set off the fireworks

A final word:

-Protect your sentries at all costs!!!

-The kill-zone is immensely efficient but you need to set it up correctly

-Bullets are not the main weight lifter - you should have 6 types of explosives going off each round (C4, frag, flash, grenade launcher, rpg-7, and turret shots)

-Don't kill yourself stupidly by running close to the kill zone or in the fire path of your turrets or when laying C4 at the start of the round.........

Do you mean which gun do i use when i play spec ops multiplayer with a buddy and attachments, would be MG36 with grip and acog.. If your talking about multiplayer online.. While i was going through the 10 prestiges i cycled through each of the assault rifles and once i hit 500 kills i moved on to the next one, to speed up the prestige, now that im 10th, i typically use, Fad, and since i play hardcore im usually using holographic scope with a U-dot sight, with a silencer/ or extended mags. I only use extended mags, silencer, and holographic scope on my guns, but if im not using FAD, then im using ACR 6.8.

T on February 03, 2012:

Thanks and another thing which gun and atachments do you use in multi or which gun you think its the best for multi?

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 02, 2012:

As i said i will try my best to get some solo maps out there.. As of now i haven't done solo, so i can't just throw strategies out there and hope they work, i have to test them first. What i may do is make 1 guide and go through each map for solo in maybe a paragraph or two and post a pic for each map, because if i do a separate hub for solo it will confuse people who click form google, and could create a lot of hassle.

T on February 02, 2012:

Jonhrrr good tips thanks but i play solo and its hard as ass to pass 35 like biggqme i would like some solo tips

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 02, 2012:

What ill do this weekend where i will be off campus with no internet, but will have my 360, is ill look into some solo style maps, and see what i can do, although i typically stay away from solo as this is much harder to do, and i usually always play with my teammate, and if hes not online im keeping my spot in the leaderboards for multiplayer.

biggame91673 from SACRAMENTO CA on February 02, 2012:

FYI i like your gilded just trying to see if you could do some for solo survival mode ? iam playing solo can't get past 15th round on hard & insane maps !! thank you

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on February 01, 2012:

T( .. Your not gonna make it past level 35 with that strategy.. Especially with assault rifles. Yah the kick is worse on an LMG but with grip, and a scope, the kick is not bad at all. And at high levels when you need 5+ rounds to kill 1 enemy, and have 25 enemy coming at you, unless you are using sleight of hand, and even so, way to much reload time is wasted, and you will be getting bogged down way to quickly.

T( on February 01, 2012:

? do what james does but i put the turrets next to each other and i don't like lmgs because of its kick i use cm901 and acr 6.8

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 29, 2012:

Yah self revives are the extreme key to getting far.

james on January 29, 2012:

Me and my friend set up shop in the field between where u get the ammo and sentry guns. Set up one turret just to the right of the bulldozer and the other in the left corner. This should consistently get u to wave 26. We've made it to wave 39, def coulda went further, self revives r so important

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 27, 2012:

Haha i think your last word sums yours up... with skill.. I write my guides for people who need general help, and if someone is level 50, and really good, they can follow your strategy, but i wouldn't just suggest it for anyone.

Kyle on January 27, 2012:

My personal favorite is camping up the at the some dish, I found it most effective for killstreaks, headshots and really any other. It does work best with two players, one for each ladder. As soon as possible by turrets and place them at the back entrance ladder at the top, to take out anyone attempting an attack from over there. Then go to the left side, go prone, and start picking them off as they go up the ladder, when an attack helicopter comes, retreat to the buildings interior and take them down using it as cover. Light machine guns, turrets, riot shield teams, and self revives are key. This can get you to 36 easily on single player, and much higher when done with two people, with skill.

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 18, 2012:

Umm well yah i camp near the self revive, but you wanna camp right near the main entrance to the cave ( the big entrance) because that makes all enemies spawn in building or middle path.. YOu should after a few rounds see what i mean, and should be able to aim your turrets to best suit you.

ll kew j on January 18, 2012:

so where do you camp at on this map ive watched a lottav youtube videos and pplalways camp near the self revive i don't see how they do it its hard ive tried it twice and it blows

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 14, 2012:

Haha, that's why the self revive is key. If you find a way to make the dome work, that's great and all power to you, but personally from my perspective, buildings can only hurt you on this map.

ll kew j on January 13, 2012:

my friend and i made it to level 39 by camping in the dome we bought claymores every round and the only reason we died was because we were both planting claymores in the same spot right as we did this a dog came in and detonated them and blew us both up at the time we didn't have self revive so yeah try this out it works great

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on January 01, 2012:

That strategy can work. I don't like the building because you can get trapped. With my way you have 5 options, the building, the path to the dome, all three entrances to the bomb shelter.

AssAssin11 on December 31, 2011:

if u stay in the big building near the air support box with a bunch of riot shield dudes, u can get to round 35 simple!!! the ladder didn't work at higher levels is horrible!

Joffy thomas on December 28, 2011:

Ya derek's idea is pretty gud except delta team i brought in riot shield squad and survived till wave 58 until i was overun

donkykong on December 28, 2011:

I agree with the derek kid i tried it and i got to round 22 easy as pie thanks derek

Joffy thomas on December 28, 2011:

I heard that sandman comes with delta squad rarely is that true

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on December 27, 2011:

Like i say to everyone, a delta squad is good, but once you can get riot squad.. 100 times better

Derek on December 27, 2011:

Ok I like you idea but I think you should go to the dome when you have 2 people each person gets a delta squad a turret and a light machin gun put a turret on each side and a delta squad on each side and then you can just kill everyone I have gotten to round 22 easily so I hope this helps I like your idea but this mint just help a little for beginners like me

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on December 27, 2011:

whatever works haha

Lol on December 27, 2011:

I just run around in circles and try not to get owned

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on December 11, 2011:

no. By using those ladders you will be putting yourself out in the open where you can get picked off from anywhere

jordan on December 11, 2011:

on dome is using either side of the ladders above the ammo crate a good camping spot

John Reid-Roberts (author) from Boston, Massachusetts on December 11, 2011:

Well i hope this helps a little bit.. Remember just stick with it, and keep those self revives.

Dylan on December 10, 2011:

Thanks for the help I can't get over round 19
