Asuryani Battle Cruisers

The Battle Cruiser class represents the highest tier of line ship for the Asuryani fleets, mostly due to the fact that as a faction, they are tied to their gigantic Craftworld ships, thus don't have much need for heavier vessels to close the gap, as they aren't typically ones to stray from the protection the mammoth vessels offer.

For what it's worth however, The Phoenix Ship Battle Cruiser is a potent flagship, comparable to Battleships of other factions, carrying an equally if not more impressive armament than most, just without the few extra hundred hull points that come with being of a larger ship class.

Terms Used

This section briefly covers the advanced weapon data you will find for each ship. These values are calculated based off the base weapons stats and are explained as follows:

DPS - Damage Per Second - The total damage output per weapon type (all guns combined) per second, assuming 100% of shots land, before considering armor penalties.

Crits Pm - Critical Hits Per Minute - Assuming all shots land, this will be the average number of critical hit's the guns will cause every minute before modifiers. (all guns combined)

Salvos PM - Salvos Per Minute - The total number of combined waves of fire, not including multiple rounds fired from the same weapon.

Rounds PM - The actual number of shots or individual projectiles fired each minute from all guns combined.

Asuryani Battle Cruiser Stats

The Phoenix suffers a slight bit stat wise when comparing it to other end of the line warships of other factions, purely due to it's smaller than normal weight class, however this is very noticeably countered by maintaining engine speeds beyond that of the fastest Imperial Escorts. The downsides of having slightly less hull points and Battle Cruiser level assault actions aren't too significant however when you compare the fact that the good rating of the troops, still makes for better assaults than comparable Corsair vessels.

Asuryani Battle Cruiser Attributes & Skills

The Phoenix Ship Battle Cruiser notably posses the highest number of additional Solar Sails in the Asuryani fleet, coming with a set of 4 for max redundancy. Coupled with the innate critical resistance of the weight class the ship sits in, this makes the Phoenix incredibly hard to cripple through crit focusing the engines, something that serves as a hefty insurance against it's high point cost.

  • Aeldari Propulsion: Gives access to Wraithbone Shift, Vauls Manoeuvre and Burn Retros.
  • Disciplined: +25 bonus to bravery.
  • Holofield: Replaces regular shield with the Corsair's special shield type.
  • Void Species: Immune to Plasma Storms and Solar Eruptions.
  • Average Troop Efficiency: Deals 1-2 troop damage per assault action.
  • Planned Strike: 30% chance to deal +1 troop damage per assault action.
  • Quadruple Solar Sails: Grants a total of 4 engine subsystems for redundancy against critical hits.

The Phoenix Ship carries a devastating arsenal of complimentary weaponry, carrying a mixed offensive load-out that only lacks torpedo tubes. Something worth mentioning off the bat, is that despite the Pulsar Cannons limited firing arc, there is so much damage output from the broadside-capable Lascannon weaponry and Launch Bays, that the Phoenix is still devastating without bringing it's Pulsar Cannons to bear every 30 seconds on the dot.

Further looking at the damage output numbers, the Phoenix is offensively one of the strongest vessels in the game, especially in the Battle Cruiser class which it punches way above. It surpasses the other top-tier Aeldari vessel, the Voidstalker Corsair Battle Cruiser in raw DPS by 7 points, while falling just under the pirate ships' crits per minute by 0.3, and has stronger armor, faster engines, better troops at the cost of 400 less hull points. That being said, the Phoenix Ship actually comes in 152 points under the Voidstalker, making it in some comparisons a much stronger flagship vessel option.
