In the sandbox survival game Ark: Survival Evolved, players can find a huge diversity of creatures, which can be tamed and then become their helpers or companions in adventures. Of course, to become stronger, you have to choose the creature with the highest survivability and versatility in all areas: land, sea and air. Many ancient myths speak of various depictions of the Griffin over the years, but what is never discussed is its majestic and mysterious nature. With the body, tail, and back legs of a lion, the head and wings of an eagle, as if these two creatures have somehow merged to form a superior land and air predator.
The Griffin in Ark: Survival Evolved owns a pair of sharp eyes that can see hidden creatures from above, and wide wings that allow it to constantly glide through the air. With the body and personality of a lion, it is extremely defensive and territorial and can be very dangerous with intruders, meaning it will chase and hunt them for a long distance. Although the first instinct might be to approach this creature and marvel at its beauty, it would be a very poor decision. Its range of attacks makes it one of the most versatile predators in existence.
Griffins are mainly found in treetops or along cliffs. The damage of the normal griffin attack is not high, but the damage caused by the plummeting effect is doubled, somewhat similar to the rhino attack, the higher the movement speed, the higher the damage.
The specific method of operation is to raise the griffin to the highest altitude, and then fall vertically, landing on any surface the wings rotate a little and cause high area damage. Since this damage bonus was so high, the griffin's swooping attack in Ark: Survival Evolved was nerfed by half, but, even so, it remains a powerful attack. Griffins are strong and can grab small creatures and humans using their front legs, and the hind legs can grab and hold still some creatures to be tamed.
The Griffin is, without a doubt, a sight to behold. Who hasn't dreamed of the scene from Harry Potter in which Harry can fly on Buckbeak's back? In Ark: Survival Evolved, you can make that wonderful dream come true. The idea of pacifying such a beast is no easy task. Its highly independent nature combined with its power and strength, make the Griffin a challenge to tame. However, there have been those who are fearless enough to attempt and accomplish this miraculous feat. Once tamed, the Griffin can be ridden, and players can also carry weapons on its back. The Griffin has plenty of stamina to fly long distances, and it's always nice to get out for a few hours to ride and enjoy the scenery that Ark has to offer.
Would you try your luck trying to master this mythical creature?
