10 Most Expensive Lego Minifigures Ever

Author:

New York Comic-Con Superman, 2011

Superman only made his debut into the world of Lego in 2011. This was at the New York Comic-Con and up till now there are only 200 of this particular figure available.

Nowadays you will need to pay a cool $400 to buy it.

Gold Chrome-Plated C-3PO

10.000 of these special C-3PO minifigures were randomly added to Lego Star Wars play sets to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.

They go for $300-$400 but when sealed in their original white plastic bag they can go for even more.

14 Karat gold C-3PO

Also to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, only 5, 14 Karat gold C-3PO figures were created.

Obviously they go for even more money than the previous C-3PO. At least $450.

International Space Station Alien

300 minifigures of the "Life on Mars" series were sent into space via the International Space Station.

When they returned to earth after a successful journey they got a certificate of authenticity and they were framed. Later they were given to participants at a ceremony that was hosted by Nasa and Lego.

If you are lucky enough to find one of these for sale, you will pay around $600.

Toy Fair Captain America and Iron Man 2012

These minifigures are usually sold together in a set and only 125 sets were made.

They were modeled after the comic book versions of the characters instead of the movie versions and handed out at an exclusive Lego collectors party during the Toy Fair of 2012.

The price for both figures combined can go up to $1500.

Series 10 Mr.Gold Exclusive

Only 5000 of this figure were created. It was randomly inserted in boxes of the 10th serie of collectible lego minifigures. Everything about this character is gold, hence the name of course...

You would pay around $1200 for him.

Azog, 2013 San Diego Comic Con.

This one is not necessarily special because of the figure. It's more about the special packaging. Only 100 figures in this packaging were given away at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con.

Buying it will set you back $1500-$2500.

Cloud City Boba Fett

This bounty hunter is one of Lego's most popular minifigures. The Cloud City set from 2003 is discontinued so that makes it difficult to find this figure. There are more Boba Fett figures but this is the only one that has prints on the arms and legs.

Buying this minifigure will cost you about $300.

Boba Fett, Sterling Silver

Only 2 of this figure were made. They were giving away as prices at San Diego Comic Con 2010 and Star Wars celebration V.

Each set had a white Boba Fett, a silver one and a gold one. The gold and the silver one were only made twice and because of this they are very expensive.

Estimated price for the silver one is $6270,95

Boba Fett, 14 Karat Gold

The same as the sterling silver one, but this one is in 14 Karat Gold.

Estimated price is about $11,500.
