Simple Mushroom Soup Recipe

  • 250 grams mushroom, chopped
  • 1/4 cup shallots, chopped
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 750 milliliters milk
  • pepper powder, to taste
  • salt, to taste


  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium flame.
  2. Sauté the shallots in butter until it becomes light brown colour.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook for 3 to 5 minutes (until it becomes soft).
  4. Add cornstarch and mix well.
  5. Gradually add milk and mix well. Continue stirring until it becomes thick.
  6. Add salt and pepper powder.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  8. Serve warm.
