  • 1 cup non hydrogenated margarine
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 package chocolate chips

  1. Take all wet ingredients (the first 5 on the list) and blend them all together. Then add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until it's all creamy and smooth, then mix in the chocolate chips.
  2. Bake on ungreased sheet for 8 - 10 minutes @ 350°.
  3. Let cool and enjoy your delicious, chewy chocolate chip cookies.
  4. *Remember not to over brown them or they will turn out hard and not so soft and chewy

Just cool, and serve!

I'm a Busy Mom With a Family of Six to Feed

As in most large families we have the important task of budgeting to make ends meet. Which means that I make the majority of my meals and baking from scratch. It is a lot of work so I naturally try to simplify things as much as I can.

My most important kitchen tool is my food processor / power mixer. I couldn't function without it.

This is a sturdy and durable appliance that will out last virtually the life of your kitchen. At least mine has. It is used on a regular basis.

With all of the different attachments that you can add onto this, you can do everything from mixing cookies to shredding cheese, to grinding your own meat. This is a perfect gift for the chef on everyone's list.

Mix it well...

Mix it well...

Mix it well...

Home Baking Really is Filled With Love

They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home and for me this is so very true. With a family of 4 kids, 4 cats, and a loving husband, there are certainly a hungry crew to keep happy in my kitchen.

Scroll to Continue

I pull out my cookbook and this is where the magic begins to happen in the kitchen. Baking from scratch brings a healthier touch to every recipe I create. I can add less sugar, insure that I use healthier fats, fruit, oatmeal, and all that other good stuff.

Family is such an amazing blessing to have. Add all of your love, hugs, and kisses into your baking to make the sweetest desserts for your loved ones. Healthy tastes so very wonderful.

Always have to taste test, just to be sure.

Always have to taste test ;)

Always have to taste test ;)

Some Days the Goodies Barely Have Time to Get Out of the Pan

As soon as the kids come dashing in from school they can smell my cookies baking and just cannot wait to get their hands on a few. It can be a race to get them out of the oven and into their waiting hands.

A tall glass of milk and a plate of cookies and my crew of munchkins are one happy crowd.

I never feel guilty with serving up cookies as an after school treat. Most add ins are healthy for them. Yes, even chocolate has its health benefits. It is a super antioxidant and most chocolate chips are now the semi-sweet variety so lower in sugar than your standard chocolate bars.

Always a treat when the kids are helping too :)

Hi Para i familiaku,If you like coikoes, then try this. It's really ez & good!Hi Anonymous,This recipe is really ez. Actually, when I went to attend my baking course, we were taught that washing is part & parcel of baking. Many people are just put off by washing, while I'm not. I do admit that I have a helper, but most of time, I did everything by myself, including washing, excluding keeping! Hahaha...That I have to qualify. For me, I usually keep all those common ingredients together - sugar, flour, eggs etc around the same place. My things are kept all over the place, but the good thing is, I know where to find what (though I have like hundreds of stuff around). I prepare all my ingredients, weigh them all before starting on my creaming/mixing. I also get my trays, baking paper, oven all ready before I start. So when I start, it's like a production worker, one after another. From creaming to dropping all the batter on the trays, took about 25mins or less. Weighing and preparing took about 15mins, then it's into the oven to bake. I only preheat my oven when I'm half way through dropping my batter. So that my oven dun get heated for too long.Sometimes, the oven waited too long for the pans. Other times, it was just nice.I hope that will encourage you to bake. After that, it's washing. So to include washing, it'll take about an hour or slightly more? Enjoy your baking, washing is part of baking. The interesting thing about baking, to me, is the process. The final product is a bonus!
