Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate/ dark compound
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Utensils

  • Mould
  • Bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Pan
  • Spoon
  • Strainer
  • Baker’s dusting wand (optional)
  • Parchment paper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add milk, whipping cream, sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Now add corn starch to this mixture and mix well.
  3. Strain this mixture to a pan and heat this under medium flame.
  4. Stir it continuously.
  5. Once it becomes thick in consistency, add grated dark chocolate or dark compound and vanilla essence.
  6. Stir it continuously until dark chocolate completely dissolves.
  7. Now transfer this batter to a mould greased with butter (or you can use parchment paper to line the mould)
  8. Keep it aside to cool down.
  9. Then refrigerate it overnight.
  10. Carefully demould the mousse cake.
  11. Serve it with cocoa powder dusting.
