Indian Food Recipe
CHICKEN 65
Ingredients :
Boneless chicken 1
Curd 1 cup
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
Cumin seeds 1 ½ tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Oil 4 tbsp
Salt
Green chillies 5-6
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Vinegar 1 tsp
Gakhar, a special Mughlai bread to be served with Chicken 65
Method :
- Marinate chicken in ginger garlic paste and salt for 1 hour. Add curd, red chilli powder, coriander powder. Cumin seeds, garam masala, turmeric powder, 2 tablespoon cooking oil and keep aside for another 1 hour.
- Convert chicken in deep pan. Close lid and keep on slow fire till totally dry. Chicken gets cooked and tender in a short time.Add Vinegar and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. After they crackle add curry leaves and green chillies. Fry them, then add to chicken pan.Garnish with coriander.

No one really knows the origin of the name. It is believed that some one tried to cook a whole chicken in a pot with 65 dried red chili peppers to make it hot..
