Simple and delicious vanilla syrup recipe for Starbucks coffee recipes

If you are like me and you love your Starbucks Coffee(once in a while) then you are probably a fan of vanilla syrup. It's so delicious and you can add it to your favourite copycat Starbucks recipes.

You can purchase vanilla syrup from the store but it's much cheaper to make it yourself. Especially if you want to make your own Starbucks copycat recipes. Sometimes I add vanilla syrup to my my espresso shots, or to my no-milk dark cocoa drinks. You can try drinking dark cocoa drinks if you want to give up coffee, or you want to try something new.

2 cups water

2 tablespoons vanilla Extract

Add sugar to the 2 cups water in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves. Set aside to cool.

When the syrup cools to room temperature, add the vanilla extract and stir until well combined.

Tip: You can also place a vanilla pod into a glass jar with your simple syrup. Let it sit overnight and remove once you are happy with the flavour. Do this if you don't want to use vanilla extract.

Also, if you don't want to make your own simple syrup, just add vanilla extract to your store bought syrup, that's if you can't find vanilla syrup at the store. You can purchase vanilla syrup from Starbucks and from grocery stores however, it is quite expensive. Save money by making your own, store it in a glass bottle with a pump attachment to make it easier to dispense.
