Healthier Burger Recipe
Ingredients (serves 4)
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
1 1/2 lbs. extra-lean ground beef
1/2 small onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
2. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, ketchup, mustard, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper until well combined.
3. Shape mixture into 4 equal patties.
4. Grill burgers for about 10 minutes, flipping once , or until fully cooked.
5. Serve on whole wheat hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
