How to Make an Antioxidant-Rich Salad With Purple Cabbage and Prawns

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/4 inch ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 thai red chilli
  • 1/4 purple cabbage
  • 100 g cooked prawns
  • 4 tbsp water
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Chop the onion, ginger, garlic, thai red chilli and purple cabbage into small pieces.

Step 2

Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onion. Saute in medium to high flame until the onions are half cooked. Then, add chopped ginger, garlic and thai red chilli to the pan and mix them with the onions. Saute in medium flame for a minute so that the flavour of the ginger, garlic and chilli blends well with the onions.

Step 3

Add chopped purple cabbage with water to the pan. Let the cabbage cook in low to medium flame.

Step 4

Once the cabbage reaches a crunchy yet cooked texture, mix in the cooked prawns. Add salt to taste. Serve the munch worthy spicy shrimpy purple cabbage salad.
