Blended Drinks & Alcoholics Smoothies Recipes

Whether you're throwing a beach bash, a pool party, or watching an Indian summer sunset, these cool, refreshing drinks will taste like a dream and kick like a mule! For best results, add the ingredients to your blender in the following order: alcohol, juice, sugar, fruit, crushed ice. Then puree until smooth. It couldn't be simpler... or more tasty!

Bloody Mary

  • ½ cup tomato juice
  • 1 ripe tomato, seeded and peeled
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • dash of Tabasco
  • salt and pepper to taste

Frozen Blizzard

  • ½ cup milk (or skim milk)
  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Grasshopper Pie

  • 2 oz cream (or fat free half and half)
  • ½ oz creme de menthe
  • 1 oz creme de cacao
  • 2 scoops (½ cup) vanilla ice cream (or frozen yogurt)

Mocha Russian

  • 1 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 2 scoops (½ cup) chocolate ice cream (or frozen yogurt)

Pina Colada

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 2 oz coconut cream (or fat free half and half plus a dash of coconut extract)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Almond Colada

  • 3 oz amaretto
  • 2 oz coconut cream (or fat free half and half plus a dash of coconut extract)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Strawberry Margarita

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 3 oz lime juice
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • sugar (or Splenda) to taste

Cranberry Margarita

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 2 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 4 oz water
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • juice of ½ lime
  • sugar (or Splenda) to taste
  • juice of ½ lime

Scurvy Smoothie

  • 1 ½ oz light rum
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ ripe banana
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Cuban Mambo

  • 2 oz rum
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • ½ cup pineapple pieces
  • juice of ½ lime
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • honey (or Splenda) to taste

Banana Lime Daiquiri

  • 2 oz rum
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • 1 ripe banana
  • juice of ½ lime
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Peachy Keen Daiquiri

  • 2 oz light rum
  • ½ oz peach brandy
  • ½ cup frozen peach slices
  • juice of ½ lime
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • honey (or Splenda) to taste

Malaria Killer (Daiquiri)

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 8 oz water
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • sugar (or Splenda) to taste

Island Lei

  • 2 oz rum
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3/4 cup crushed ice

Down South

  • 1 oz gin
  • 1 oz kirshwasser
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup crushed ice

Miami Beach

  • 3/4 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or skim milk plus a dash of coconut extract)
  • 1-2 Tbsp sugar (or Splenda)
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 cup crushed ice
