Frosty The Snowman Video
Frosty The Snowman Was One Of My All Time Favorites
I remember as a child that my all time favorites were Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch that stole Christmas. I remember my Mom setting reading both stories to me and my brother. But there was always just something so magic about Frosty the Snowman. I could not hear that story enough and I know I would have loved a big mug of snowman soup.
Frosty The Snowman started out as a song in 1950 and then the story was made into a Golden Book. The song was first sung and recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass County boys. Autry had a huge success with the song , Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer the year before in 1949.
However it was Jimmy Durante who I remember doing Frosty the Snowman. There was just something so magic about Durante's singing that just brought Frosty to life. You would not believe all the snowmen I made over the years hoping one would come to life like Frosty and run and play.
It was in 1954 that Frosty was first brought to life on the big screen. That year UPA Studio brought Frosty to life in a three minute short animated film that people love to this day. You can still catch this short Frosty animated film on the WGN TV Station on most cable networks.
And way back then I just know I would have enjoyed a good hot mug of Snowman Soup so what are you waiting on. Go get the ingredients and start making snowman soup now.
