Who doesn't love fudge!

We are big fudge lovers in our family, proper rich and creamy fudge! But I attempted to make it myself a few years ago as christmas gifts, and in all honesty I failed miserable, so everyone had chocolate fudge sauce perfect for ice-cream sundaes! lol! But I was determined to make a decent batch at some point, so when I stumbled across a Facebook group all about slow cooking I was so excited to see that you can make fudge in the slow cooker! I've been a slow cooker user since my uni days so how this little trick had passed me by all these years I have no idea.

It is literally the easiest recipe ever, but unlike most Crock Pot or Slow Cooker recipes you can't actually leave the slow cooker alone, you need to keep an eye on it for around 1.5 hours and keep stirring it. But the end result was totally worth it, the fudge was really tasty and unlike my first attempt it actually set!

Plus the possibilities for flavour combinations are endless, your imaginations the limit. So far this chocolate and peanut butter fudge is our favourite, the peanut butter taste isn't overpowering but is really nice.

Slow Cooker Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge


  • 1 tin Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 400g Milk Chocolate
  • 200g Peanut Butter, (smooth or chunky, up to you!)
  • 100g Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 30g Butter

How to make Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge in your Slow Cooker

  1. Turn your Slow Cooker on to high, break the chocolate into chunks and add it to the slow cooker with the whole tin of condensed milk and the butter
  2. Keep the lid off the Slow Cooker and stir it well every 10-15 minutes, making sure you scrap the edges and mix well.
  3. Once the chocolate is all melted and mixed well, about 1-1:15 hours add the peanut better and mix it all together again
  4. Once the peanut butter is combined well into the mixture you can pour the whole lot into a shallow dish or baking tin. I used a silicon cake mould to make it easier to remove afterwards.
  5. Top with the whole pack of chocolate chips, you may need to pat them down a little to make them sink into the fudge better. Then pop it in the fridge until it is well set. We found leaving it overnight gave the best results.
  6. Slice into chunks and enjoy!
  7. TIP: if you plan to store it keep it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for it to stay fresh longer
