Savji Red Chilli Chicken ... for the marinate
1 Chicken cut into medium pieces
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
½ tsp garam masala
salt to taste
Apply the above ingredients to the chicken.
Keep aside for at least 2 – 3 hours..
2 medium sized onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp garam masala
2 bay leaves
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
½ tspn turmeric powder
5 Dried whole Red Chilies ground to a fine paste
2 tspn Red Chili powder
1 bunch each Mint and Green Coriander chopped finely
3 tbspn Vegetable Oil
In the vegetable oil fry the onions and bay leaves. Fry the onions golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a few minutes. Add ginger paste and Red Chili paste, mint and coriander leaves and fry for a few minutes more. Add turmeric powder and Red Chili powder. Add garam masala and marinated chicken, and saute for 5 to 7 minutes. Cover with lid and cook on low flame for 20 minutes till the chicken is done. Serve hot with any roti or bread of your choice.

I was always told that flax oil should never be used for cooking because cooking breaks down the lignans. But then again, maybe you don't care. :) This recipe looks really good. I have to wait quite a while before I can eat real people food. :)
