Fennel Seed water

Saunf or fennel seed is a sweet-tasting spice popular in India as a mouth freshener as well as an after-food digestive commonly served in restaurants and food joints to people after they have eaten food.

Fennel seed has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It is a potent detoxifier that clears toxins out of the body. In Ayurvedic medicine it is used to treat digestive issues like indigestion, gas, bloating and related pain. It also eases abdominal spasms due to the above-mentioned factors.

This recipe is a popular home remedy prepared with fennel seeds to get relief from digestive issues and is ready in minutes. I always drink fennel seed water whenever I face any digestion related issues and find it very effective. Do try it and share your experience.

Although it is a safe spice to consume, if you have any health issues or are on any medication, please consult your health care provider or doctor before you start consuming it.
