Salmon Quiche Recipe

1: X 9" refrigerated pie crust (, fitted in a 9" pie dish or tart tin)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 180C/350F (160C/320F fan forced).
  • Place cooked quiche crust on a tray.
  • Asparagus - break woody ends off (Note 7). Cut into 3.5cm / 1.5" pieces, separate tips from stems (tips for decorating).
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add leeks and garlic, saute for 2 minutes or until leeks are translucent, don't let them go golden.
  • Stir in asparagus stems (don't cook), then remove from stove. Cool slightly then scatter across base of quiche crust.
  • Whisk together eggs, cream, dill, salt, pepper in a bowl. Scatter 2/3 of the salmon across quiche, folding/twisting pieces rather than laying flat.
  • Top with cheese, pour over egg mixture. Top with remaining salmon and asparagus tips.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until top is light golden and centre is set but still slightly jiggly when you poke it.

Easy Salmon Quiche Recipe

Ingredients:

2/3 cup: Smoked salmon or lox

1: Red onion, medium

Instructions:

  • Unroll crusts into two 8-inch fluted tart pans with removable bottoms; trim edges. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Line unpricked crusts with a double thickness of foil. Fill with pie weights, dried beans or uncooked rice. Bake on a lower oven rack until edges are golden brown, 10-15 minutes. Remove foil and weights; bake until bottoms are golden brown, 2-4 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack. Reduce oven setting to 375°.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender and lightly browned, 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan. Add butter and mushrooms; cook and stir until mushrooms are tender, 6-8 minutes. Cool slightly.
  • Place tart pans on separate baking sheets. Divide onion and mushrooms between crusts; top with salmon and cheese. In a bowl, whisk 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons capers and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper; if desired, stir in 1 teaspoon dill. Pour over 1 of the tarts. Repeat with remaining ingredients for second tart.
  • Bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 15-20 minutes.

Salmon Quiche With Pancetta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Butter and flour a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom thoroughly, making sure to get in the edges of the tart pan sides. Place on a sheet pan.
  • Unroll your pie dough and gently fit into the tart pan, making sure to remove any excess after you fit it into the fluted sides.
  • Using a fork, prick the base of the dough so that it won’t puff up in the oven.
  • Brush the dough lightly with the beaten egg white and bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes while you prepare the filling.
  • In a large skillet, add the olive oil and the pancetta. Cook until the pancetta starts to crisp and then remove the pancetta to a paper lined plate.
  • To the pancetta drippings, add the butter and the mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are a brown.
  • Add the shallots and sauté until they are translucent. Add the salmon and sauté.
  • Add the fresh arugula and cook until it wilts down, about a minute or two. Add the arugula mushroom mixture to the cooled crust and sprinkle the crisp pancetta over the mixture.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, hot sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt and shredded smoked mozzarella. Pour the custard over the filling, making sure it gets right to the top.
  • Bake until the mixture is set and golden, about 18 – 20 min.

  • Cook onions slowly in butter for 5 -6 minutes. Allow to cool. Beat eggs, salt and pepper, add cream and then the spinach.
  • Add the cheese to the bottom of the pie pan, then add the salmon. Arrange it so it's spread evenly. Then pour the egg mixture on top.
  • Bake at 425 F for 10 mins and then 375 F for 20 mins. Allow to cool at least a little to firm.

Instructions:

  • Brush a 12-cup muffin tin with vegetable oil. Have on hand a baking sheet and a 3 1/2-inch round cutter.
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the scallions and cook for 5 minutes, or until softened. Stir in the parsley. Remove from heat.
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs until the yolks and whites are combined. Whisk in the cream and pepper.
  • On a lightly floured surface, open the sheet of puff pastry; if it starts to crack or still feels frozen, let it thaw for a few more minutes before proceeding. Gently roll it to an even thickness, and then cut it into 3 1/2-inch rounds.
  • Set the muffin tin on a baking sheet, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the filling puffs and starts to brown. Remove from the oven and cool for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with dill and serve.

3/4 cup: Gruyere cheese or cheddar, grated
1 1/2 cups: Heavy cream

Instructions:

  • For the crust, you can either use two sheets of shortcrust pastry.
  • Preheat a fan forced oven to 160C / 320F.
  • On medium heat, add the butter and allow to melt a little. Next, add the sliced leek, onion and minced garlic. Stir for 2 minutes until they soften. Don’t let them brown. Take off the heat and allow to cool.
  • To a large mixing bowl or jug, add the eggs, cream, salt and pepper and 3/4 of the dill. Whisk until well combined.
  • Add the cooled leek mixture to the tart shell and spread around. Then add the smoked salmon ribbons. Sprinkle with cheese and pour on the egg mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and middle is still slightly jiggly. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Smoked Salmon Quiche Recipe

1: Roma tomato

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF and liberally grease a standard pie dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, and hot sauce. Pour the egg mixture into the greased pie dish, then top with the smoked salmon pieces, capers, and red onion. Dot the cream cheese around the quiche and top with everything bagel seasoning.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are just set. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnish with chopped fresh dill, if desired.

200 g: Plain flour
1 pinch: Salt, fine
1: Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

200 ml: Double cream

Instructions:

  • Sift the flour and the salt into the bowl of a food processor.
  • Add the butter and blitz for a few seconds until the mixture resembles wet sand. Add half of the beaten egg, and blitz for a few more seconds. Add more egg as necessary, until the mixture comes together into a ball.
  • Wrap the dough in some plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Roll out the pastry between two sheets of baking paper.
  • Line the pan with the pastry and trim the edges.
  • Place the prepared pie dish in the fridge for about 15 minutes to chill. Line the prepared pie dish with some baking paper, fill with baking beans or pie weights, and blind bake for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry feels slightly dry to touch.
  • Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for about 10 minutes until it is soft and lightly golden. Line the base of the pastry-lined pie dish with the cooked onions.
  • Thickly slice the potatoes and arrange them over the onions. Sprinkle with some fresh dill, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange the slices of smoked salmon on top of the potatoes.
  • In a large jug, whisk together the eggs and cream, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour this mixture into the pie dish.
  • Bake the tart in the an oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.

1/4 tsp: Black pepper
2 tbsp: Coconut flour
3/4 tsp: Salt

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200C/400F degrees.
  • Grease a pie/quiche dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk the almond flour, coconut flour and salt.
  • Add the butter and mix until thoroughly combined. I use my hands to make breadcrumbs, then into a large ball.
  • Gently place the pastry into the baking tin and press it out over all the edges as even as you can. Bake for 15-20 minutes until slightly golden. Remove from the oven and reduce the temperature to 180C/350F degrees.
  • Heat a frying pan on a medium heat and add the butter. Cook the salmon fillets for about 8-10 minutes until cooked throughout. Turn over during cooking. Remove the salmon from the heat, and with a fork or spatula, break the cooked salmon into flakes.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with cream and the dill. Season with the salt & pepper. Place the broccoli florets into the pastry case. Spoon the salmon into the pastry case. Pour the egg mixture over the filling and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and firm.
