Ruby Tuesday Restaurant Background

Ruby Tuesday recipes are reminiscent of comfort food and gatherings with family and friends. The first Ruby Tuesday restaurant was opened in 1972 by five University of Tennessee students. The casual dining restaurant was named after the Rolling Stones song of the same title. Ruby Tuesday specialized in American type foods and dishes. Ruby Tuesday restaurants are now located around the world.

If you don't have a Ruby Tuesday restaurant near you, or you just can't afford to eat out all of the time, try some of these copycat Ruby Tuesday restaurant recipes. Some of the secret recipes include Ruby Tuesday mashed cauliflower and a Ruby Tuesday Fudge Brownie Pie recipe clone. The chef at our Ruby Tuesdays here in AZ told me that the dressing mixture for the salad bar rotini pasta salad is equal parts mayo and ranch dressing. No sour cream. Add diced green peppers, peas, turkey ham, and salt and pepper to taste. No cheese. And, it's delicious. marysmailbox51@yahoo.com

Jess on May 25, 2009:

Actually, the croutons are garlic salted, not just regular salt, immediately after bring fried... and if you get them while they're still soft and warm out of the fryer... OMG. You will want thiem that way forever... I used to bartend there a few years back. They were a favorite snack.

Heather on May 24, 2009:

The "peas" on the salad bar that are next to the real peas are actually edemame (soybeans). The pumpernickel croutons are deep fried pumpernickel bread cubed then salted immediately after deep frying.

Heather on May 24, 2009:

Having used to work at Ruby Tuesday, I can tell you the ham & pea salad dressing is half heavy mayo & half ranch dressing. That's it.

Does anyone know the recipe for the garlic mayo?? If so please e-mail me!!
