Royal Jelly Extract Health Benefits
What is Royal Jelly Extract?
We are finding more and more alternative cures for what makes us ill.
Royal jelly extract is one such alternative.
What is royal jelly extract?
Royal jelly is a milky extract secreted by the young worker's salivary glands to feed the queen. This way, the chosen queen larva gets pure Royal Jelly on her menu for the first six to seven days of her life.
An ordinary larva, which will later have to work as a worker bee, only gets Royal Jelly for two to three days and then has to do it with pollen and honey. In those six days, the queen larva increases in weight about 3000 times. After this period, the queen bee will continue to be fed with Royal Jelly. She becomes twice as big as a normal worker bee and lives much longer.
A queen bee can live to be five to six years old, while a worker bee lives are typically 45 days old. Royal Jelly is a unique product with many active ingredients, from organic sugar to hormones and enzymes. It keeps cells young and protects against aging.
Royal jelly extract is attributed to increasing growth and longevity.
The queen bee is much larger than the worker bees and has a longer lifespan too.
Research in this area has been ongoing due to interest in the longevity factor of the queen bee,
Royal jelly seems to have a positive effect on certain medical conditions.
It may contribute to cell rejuvenation.
Royal jelly can lower cholesterol, preventing heart disease, arteriosclerosis, and other debilitating diseases.
This prospect is a hopeful sign.
Acetylcholine is the compound in royal jelly that has caused quite a stir.
Acetylcholine enables the transmission of messages from nerve cell to nerve cell.
It is frequently referred to as a neurotransmitter.
More importantly yet for Alzheimer's patients, it may be the link that can repair damage to memory.
Royal jelly extract contains amino acids, protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins.
Those individuals who have taken this extract have said that it:
- improved their memory function,
- lowered cholesterol levels,
- and they realized a noticeable change in their well-being.
Another positive aspect of royal jelly is that users claim it increases sexual performance.
It is no coincidence that people are making a connection between the two because a queen bee lays about 1500 eggs daily.
Royal jelly also contains an antibacterial protein.
Researchers found it to be a protein packed with amino acids.
It can be used to fight staph infection and streptococcus.
They also found evidence that royal jelly may have anti-tumor components, and may even be used to treat forms of cancer soon.
Studies have also indicated that royal jelly has been used in treating fatigue, asthma, skin conditions, and both kidney and liver diseases.
Pregnant women, children, or nursing mothers should not use Royal jelly extract.
Also, consult your doctor before taking this extract since you may be allergic to the substance.

Propolis, Honey and Royal Jelly
Propolis, honey, and royal jelly are attractive components for healthy foods.
Their production originates in beehives!
Since ancient times honey is used as an ingredient of traditional medicine.
Traditional medicine uses it for its functions such as:
- and antiviral too.
Propolis is a sticky matter produced by honeybees.
Propolis has been applied in folk medicine since early times.
It is thought to have various healthy biological properties, such as:
- and immunomodulatory effects, among others.
Royal jelly has been confirmed to possess various functional characteristics such as antibacterial activity and antitumor activity.
Biological activities of royal jelly, propolis, and honey are associated with the phenolic compounds such as flavonoids.

- How to Help Bees
How to help bumblebees and honeybees by planting wildflower meadows, joining bee organisations, submitting sightings of bees, becoming a beekeeper and gardening in a bee friendly way.
Bees work extremely hard to bring nectar back to their hive to make honey.
Did you know that after approx 35 days, they wear out their wings and die?
You can find specialized apiaries for obtaining Royal Jelly. But not in the Netherlands, where I live, because we do not have enough hours of sunshine here. You'll have to go to countries like Thailand and Burma to find them.
The production capacity of Royal Jelly is minimal. Royal Jelly is harvested by hand from the hive itself. Per hive or cabinet with 40 - 100.000 worker bees you will only get 1/8th teaspoon of Royal Jelly daily. For this reason it is a very expensive product.
Royal Jelly is often for sale in tablet form at the drugstore and in reform houses.
