Roseanne's Loose Meat Sandwiches Recipe
In case you don't know Loose Meat Sandwiches are really quite delicious. And really quite easy to make. One day I was watching Roseann and I got to wondering just exactly what is a loose meat sandwich. And what do they really taste like.
I wondered if there was a recipe somewhere for a loose meat sandwich. So I came up with a recipe for loose meat sandwiches and here it is for you. In fact one of the best recipes for loose meat sandwiches that you will ever taste and enjoy.
Let me say a word or two here about the buns for your loose meat sandwiches. You will want to steam your buns. If you have a bun warmer setting there on the back shelf it will be quite easy. If not you can make a quick bun steamer by placing a colander over a pot of boiling water and then cover your colander with tin foil. You want your buns to be steamed and hot but not wet. Hope you get the ideal.
For Your Loose Meat Sandwiches You Will Need.
1. Two Pounds Lean Ground Beef.
2. One Large Sweet Onion Chopped Very Fine.
3. Two Cans Chicken Broth.
4. One Teaspoon Sea Salt.
5. One Teaspoon Black Pepper.
You will want to start out by cooking your onion until it is done. Now add your hamburger meat and cook it stirring in the onion as you cook your hamburger meat. Once your hamburger meat is browned you want to drain your hamburger meat very well and then add the two cans of chicken broth and the salt and pepper.
Now you will want to cook your hamburger on medium heat until all the chicken broth is cooked into the meat.
When you are ready to put your sandwiches together you will want to steam your buns and then put your loose meat sandwiches together. Add a large cooks spoon of the beef and onions to the bottom of each bun and then cover with a slice of American cheese.
Add your top bun half to your sandwich and serve at once. You will want to offer mustard on the side for those people who want mustard. Some people also like sliced pickles on their loose meat sandwiches. So have you ever had a loose meat sandwich? Why not?
Some places make the loose meat sandwiches and use heated cheese whiz on the sandwiches. So you may want to think about making loose meat sandwiches with cheese whiz.

Maid-Rite is another loose meat that uses coke instead of broth. BEST I've ever had was in Greenville, Ohio. A landmark as has been there since the 40's. Would really like to know how they do theirs, anyone out there happen to know?

I made loose meat sandwiches the other night. But used a fan of condensed beef broth , a squirt of mustard, couple dashes of Worcesthire, a little garlic and salt and pepper. I like the ground beef to get her tender, so I simmered ,covered, for about 45 minutes, then let cook on medium with the lid off until the liquid was gone. Yum!!
