Do you enjoy eating Jamaican food?

Have you never eaten Jamaican food before and been wanting to try it for the first time?

Either way, you might be looking for the best place to find some absolutely delicious and authentic Jamaican food!

Da Reggae Café restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina is a Jamaican restaurant with delicious authentic Jamaican cuisine. The restaurant, Da Reggae Cafe is very bright and festive with very bright colored paint on the walls and nice décor.

  • Reggae music is often piping into the Jamaican restaurant, Da Reggae Cafe when you go there on a typical day or there might be Jamaican music videos playing on the flat screen televisions.
  • An animated Rastafarian man is included in the logo and artwork for Da Reggae Cafe restaurant and website.

Da Reggae Café Jamaican restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina is one of my favorite restaurants in Greensboro. My family had visited the restaurant several times over the years. On a most recent visit to Da Reggae Café Jamaican restaurant, we went there on a Thursday which also happens to be 60 cents wings day at the restaurant. Among the other items that we ordered, we ordered about ten jerk chicken wings to share. The jerk chicken wings at Da Reggae Café are delicious and are a great deal on Thursdays, 60 cents wings day.

Additionally, on this visit, we ordered french fries, codfish fritters, curried goat entrée and beef entrée to share amongst us and also have plenty of leftovers to take home. I was quite disappointed that the oxtail entrée was sold out at the restaurant on this day because I really did go specifically for that, my favorite thing that Da Reggae Café restaurant offers. When we learned that there was no oxtail entrée available on that day at the restaurant, that is when we ordered another type of beef stew entrée instead. No, in my opinion, it was not as tasty as the oxtail entrée would have been but it was pretty good.

The entrees that you can order from Da Reggae Café come with your choice of white rice or flavorful and spicy rice and peas. We almost always opt for the delicious rice and peas which is offered at the very same price as if you were to just order plain white rice. Additionally, with the rice and the meat, some cabbage and a few pieces of fried sweet plantain are offered in a typical entrée at Da Reggae Café.

Great quality Jamaican food at Da Reggae Cafe restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina

Typically, our beverages of choice might sometimes be just water at the restaurants but Da Reggae Café does offer some pretty delicious beverages including a pineapple soda that I sometimes enjoy having there.

On this particular trip to Da Reggae Café, I drank only water as my beverage.

Da Reggae Café offers delicious desserts as well for after your meal.

  • Some of the desserts are catered into the restaurant by a bakery called Amorosa’s bakery.
  • Red velvet cake and banana cake are two examples of delicious cake flavors that you can purchase at Da Reggae Café and those come from Amorosa’s bakery.
  1. We had gotten lots of food on this visit to Da Reggae Café Jamaican restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina. So, when it came to dessert, we ordered only one slice of the decadent and moist banana cake with frosting and coconut shavings and shared it up.
  2. We did not even eat the dessert at the restaurant because we were already full. We had the dessert packaged up to bring home with us and eat later along with the entrée leftovers (beef and curried goat) and appetizer leftovers (wings and crispy codfish fritters).

The proprietors of Da Reggae Café Jamaican restaurant appear to take much pride in the food offered to customers. Everything served to you will be fresh and delicious. I do not think that you will ever be disappointed with your meal at this restaurant. Having been there several times, I have never been disappointed with mine.
