  • 1/2 Cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Milk

  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes, Optional
  • 1 24-28 oz. Jar Favorite Spaghetti Sauce, Bertolli, Tuttorossi, Classico....
  • 1 Lb. Ziti
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 16 oz. Container Ricotta Cheese, Part Skim
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper, To taste
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1 Cup Shredded 2% Mozzarella
  • 1 24-28 oz. Jar Favorite Spaghetti Sauce, Bertolli, Tuttorossi, Classico....

Putting it all Together

  1. Start by making the meatballs. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine together the pork, turkey, bread crumbs, milk, parmesan cheese, egg, and seasonings. Mix together lightly with your hands till thoroughly incorporated, taking care not to over mix as this will make for tough meatballs.
  2. Cover a cookie sheet with foil, spray with cooking spray, or lightly coat with olive oil. Roll meatballs into approx 4" diameter balls. This will yield 10-12 hefty meatballs. Place meatballs on the cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking. When cooked, put meatballs and jar of pasta sauce in a 4-quart saucepan and let simmer until the ziti is done.
  3. While the meatballs are cooking, let's make the ziti. Cook ziti according to package directions. Approx 10 mins. for al dente "to the tooth". Drain pasta and add to a lasagna pan. Mix together olive oil, pasta, ricotta cheese, parmesan, pasta sauce, and seasonings. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes, top with mozzarella and bake 10 minutes more until cheese is melted to your liking. Serve with meatballs, crusty bread, and a salad for a wonderful home-cooked meal!!! Enjoy.
