A short list of palate cleansers
Cooking and tasting
This is just a short post about palate cleansing foods you can eat.
Last night I was cooking Bolognese which I slow-cooked for three-hours. Now I don't know about you but when I cook I like to taste my food a million times over to make sure the flavours are perfecto. After tasting the Bolognese so many times my taste buds weren't as fresh and ready to let me know if I needed to add more salt or some other flavour. I needed to refresh my mouth so that I would be able to distinguish the flavours and see if anything needed to be added. So here is my short list of palate cleansers that I use.

This post is mostly just for myself to be reminded of what I can use. Sometimes I have a blank moment and need a reminder.
Do you have anything else to add to the list? What do you recommend to cleanse the palate?

Celery and green tea are my go-to's. I never really thought about the importance of using palate cleansers *while* cooking - what a great idea, because you're right it's the only way to truly test the taste. Thanks for the inspiration!
