Landscape timbers, set loosely on the ground. Pack dirt next to them to hold in place. Fill middle with soil.

Put onions in. Water once in a while.

Let them do their thing.

It's mid June now, and the onions are setting. Those sets will drop off and root. Them, they will do the same thing.
