Old Fashion homemade Banana Pudding like grandma use to make"

Old fashion Homemade banana pudding like grandma use to make"

Ingredients:

4 medium bananas- 1 mashed  up banana 

2 boxes vanilla wafers - reserve 1/2 box for later- crumble reserve wafers

3 eggs( beaten).

2 cups sugar

2 Tbs. corn starch

1 tsp.Vanilla extract

1 can evaporated milk

1 stick grade A butter ( soft).

1 cup water

Directions to prepare:

Put milk, water and butter in boiler pot on low fire, stirring occassionally.

Mix sugar, cornstarch, eggs together until smooth, then add vailla extract.

Pour ingredient into the boiler, stirring continuously. turn fire up a notch.

Stir mashed bananas into custard and stir until custard is fully thicken. turn off fire and put to

the side.

In a large bowl, line the bottom with vanilla wafers, then slice bananas over wafers, then pour

custard over wafers and bananas.

Alternate vanilla wafers and bananas and custard until you finish with custard on top.

Take the crumble vanilla wafers and sprinkle over the top until gone.

For those of you that prefer meringue, then you can take the egg whites and use it for the

 meringue, I don't care for it myself.

Refridgerate  until cool. You can put cool whip on top if you like, but it's a good banana

pudding without it.  I like to eat it luke warm myself. Um Um, good.

Meringue Directions:   separate the whites from the yolks and put into a medium size bowl.

Put mixer on whip and whip until egg whites form peaks, then add 2 tsp.sugar and 1/2 

vanilla extract.

Smooth  on egg white peaks on top of pudding , put in oven on 400 degrees. bake until lightly

brown and remove from oven.

I don't know if you can perfect it with all the love Faye puts into it, but you have got to try the recipe because it really is better than Grandma used to make because you can have it right now, like I did. Thank you Faye, tasting speaks louder than words!
