The Best Pork Tenderloin Recipe Will Make a Meal to Remember
I am making a pork tenderloin in the oven right now. This smells so good I had to write this to keep my mind off of being hungry. Pork Tenderloin is one of the best meats around and is also one of the easiest to cook perfectly. With the right pork tenderloin recipe you can have a delicious meal that everyone will remember and beg for you to make again. I have made various versions of this meal over the years but the oven roasted pork tenderloin is the easiest and best for winter cooking that has a taste of summer BBQ.
First things first, get a large pan and a roasting rack, placing the meat on the rack will allow the fat and drippings to fall off the pork tenderloin as it cooks.

Perfect Pork Tenderloin
My Basic Pork Tenderloin Recipe
Start by rubbing the whole pork tenderloin with mustard, I prefer spicy brown mustard, you can use whatever your personal taste requires. This will help to keep the seasonings and spices you add stick to the pork tenderloin.
Take your favorite seasonings and spices and mix them in a small bowl. I do not measure anything, I always cook by taste so I will give approximate amounts here. These are some basic ingredients and they give a good flavor that everyone can enjoy without too many bold flavors.
2 Tbsp paprika
2 Tbsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp sea salt
1 Tbsp course ground black pepper
1 Tbsp BBQ seasoning
Mix these in a small bowl to make your pork tenderloin rub. Sprinkle and rub these ingredients all over the pork tenderloin that has been rubbed with mustard and place it in the refrigerator for about 30 - 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, 325 degrees if you use a convection oven.
Place your pork tenderloin on the baking rack of your pan and roast until the internal temperature is about 155 degrees. Remove from the oven and cover with aluminum foil. Once removed from the oven the pork tenderloin will continue to cook and the internal temperature should reach 160 - 165 degrees. Let the pork tenderloin rest for about 10 minutes covered with the foil. Slice the Tenderloin in thin slices and serve.
