  • heavy whipping cream
  • garden lettuce
  • vinegar
  • seasoned salt

Fry bacon, onion.

Mix heavy cream with vinegar. Add to cooked bacon and onions. Mix and let thicken. Dump cut lettuce into pan. Stir well.

Add a couple shakes of seasoned salt.

My hubby was talking about some creamed lettuce he had eaten at his grandma's house when he was a kid, that he remembered as being quite delicious.

To make a long story short, his mother was describing this same lettuce dish to me today, and I decided it was time to listen to the cooking instructions, and analyze how it came about.
