Omelette, known as an omelet, is a very popular egg recipe. It can perfectly be served any time of the day. Omelette is made with a different combination of fillings such as cheese, meats, seafood, and vegetables. Making omelettes awaken anyone's creativeness. As a result, I made my lady finger, onion, and tomato omelette. It's an unusual recipe for me but I totally enjoyed it. I hope you try it as well! Cheers!

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup lady finger
  • 3 tablespoons tomato, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • oil, for cooking


For Preparation:

  • 2 medium bowls
  • 2 small bowls
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • chopping board
  • knife
  • fork

For Cooking:

  • pan
  • spatula

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Cook lady finger until soft. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, heat an oil. Saute onion and tomato. Set aside.
  3. Beat eggs in a bowl. Add the cooked lady finger, onion, tomato.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  5. Again, heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Start cooking small portions of the egg mixture.
  6. Repeat step # 5 until all the egg mixture is cooked.
  7. Serve with your favorite dip or condiment.

Tips and Techniques

  1. Serve your omelet with your favorite dips or condiments such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or sweet chili sauce.
  2. Add any other vegetables.
  3. Use only egg whites for a healthier version.
  4. Make the omelet tastier by adding butter or mayonnaise.

Lady finger or okra is an edible pod of a plant. Actually, it's pretty hard to describe it. LOL Maybe I could attach a picture of it here.
